 So then we are gonna go over to the next step and that is remove this piece of metal here where the tone arm wires are coming together and connecting with the line out wires. Pull like so. These wires snap into place so it's really difficult to take them off but you just slide them on like this. Slide them on like this and they'll snap into place and they are all color-coded so it's very easy to see where they go

 If this system or mechanism is broken I would recommend you to get a tie wrap and wrap or a piece of tape and wrap it around here so that the tone arm will stay like this. So when I put it upside down I'll do it with one hand for now. Usually I support it. I'll just put it in here like this and flip it upside down

 So this is the one side and that's the other side and as you can see this side of the dust cover is longer and it slides back into this bit as you can see here. The dust cover slides in between this ridge here. The second step is to take off the cartridge. So usually when I have to flip the record player upside down I always feel more comfortable when I take off the cartridge

 Oh yeah there's one thing I forgot to mention there's this cable strain relief here which you have to of course take off before you remove the old wire so you can pull the wire away and refasten it after you put the new wires in. So now I'll just put this bit back on again like so you can see that it's stably on there then I'll take the nut also screw the nut back on. So the next step would be to put the record player back together again that's fairly straightforward it's just the other way around from the previous steps so we'll screw these in again. Wiggle it around a bit

 The first step we are going to take is just opening up the lid and carefully

 taking it off. I actually prefer to do this with two hands but for the video

 I'll once do it with one hand. So this is the one side and that's the other side and as

 second step is to take off the cartridge. So usually when I have to flip the

 record player upside down I always feel more comfortable when I take off the

 cartridge. So in this case I'll just flip down the protector and then simply take

 it off. That can be done by tilting this back and be careful like I usually do

 this with two hands and with the one hand I keep the head shell in place and

 with the other hand I flick this metal thing here and then you can just take it

 out like so. So in the previous step I put the cartridge in a safe place make

 sure that you're not gonna sit on it or stand on it because it is of course the

 most sensitive part of the record player so make sure you're careful with it. So

 what I do now is take off this plate. For the next step put the back of the

 record player towards yourself and put the back of the record player close to

 the edge of the table as well. So what we're gonna do now is slightly slide

 over the edge of the record player to the end of the table. As you can see here

 there is the strain relief with one two three four places where it's attached. So

 these tabs on the back you will pinch them. It's a bit difficult to do with one

 hand but I'll try it anyways. So you pinch it and the right one and you pull

 down on the cables like so and then the cable drops out. When the cable drops out

 you can see that there's two bits of plastic. They have a thick side and a

 thin side and the thick side goes towards the front of the record player.

 So a five euro cent coin will fit exactly in between here and you can undo

 the screw and then we go over to the next screw which is over here. Also undo

 So I have to screw it like this and as you can see underneath here I'll go over to the second

 screw. Perform exactly the same trick and then I screw it in a bit like so to

 prevent it from falling back in and then I go to the third screw. Same idea. So for the

 next step we are going to flip the record player upside down. Make sure that

 everything around the record player is cleared and that the cartridge is not in

 there and the tone arm is also steadily resting in its resting position. If this

 system or mechanism is broken I would recommend you to get a tie wrap and wrap

 or a piece of tape and wrap it around here so that the tone arm will stay like

 this. So when I put it upside down I'll do it with one hand for now. Usually I

 support it. I'll just put it in here like this and flip it upside down. So then we

 are gonna go over to the next step and that is remove this piece of metal here

 where the tone arm wires are coming together and connecting with the line

 out wires. So this is a dual 701 mark one and this record player uses a screw here

 as you can see this little screw here. So we're gonna take it off now or not I

 must say. So there goes the nut. Gently take this bit off and be careful with

 these wires. These are the wire the tone arm wires and these wires are very

 sensitive they're very thin so be sure not to put any excessive strain on them.

 If you want to remove the old wires you'll need a set of pliers. I use these

 needle nose pliers which allow me to effectively grip the old wires and the

 idea is that you just grab the connector like this and pull it in this direction.

 Pull like so. These wires snap into place so it's really difficult to take them off

 but you just slide them on like this. Slide them on like this and they'll snap

 into place and they are all color-coded so it's very easy to see where they go.

 We can just follow the lines. So this is where the blue head shell wire comes in

 and it is directly connected to this one. Let's see this is where the green wire

 comes in as you can see here it's soldered and it is directly connected to

 this one and that has to be the green and yellow wire. Now we have the white

 wire we can see it is here. It's not really clear that it's white in this

 video I think. So here we can see that it's really white and the red one

 underneath here. So these wires so this attaches to here and it goes through
