Diablo 2 vs Wasteland 3

The software discs came in the mail as advertised for time required, but the 3rd disc would not install past 80%. I've retried the installation a few times and had no success. The disc appears new with no blemishes, scratches, marks etc. I've visited the Blizzard website and it appears my next option is to download the entire software license from their website as a single file and transfer to my laptop via external HD or stick memory

The bugs are very annoying and I hope that with new releases the crashing problems are fixed.

I do really like this game but it's so buggy. Enemies disappear off the screen and characters that die in combat stay stuck in combat forever you can see them even tho I play it on normal difficultie i shouldn't have permanent characters death forever. You cant revive them or interact with them. I wish they fix this problem sooner

This also applies to broken skills like the Amazon's Fend and Druid's Fury. Why are they still in this game? I'm also a little sad to see that Resurre...

But for someone trying to get into games again this is impossible. There are a million options, menus, and actions per turn, but they never explain the importance, repercussion, or significance of each event. So if you are familiar with each of these games, it actually looks good. But if you are coming in as Newbie you have no chance for success unless you spend a lot of time online learning the mechanics of the game

This game can be highly addictive, mostly because as you go up in experience, it takes more and more time to elevate to the next level. All RPG players live for that next level, which is a natural stopping point in the game, but as you get higher in DII, you might have to play for a number of hours to get promoted. If it happens to be midnight when you say, "Just one more level and then I'll save," you might find yourself watching the sunrise. Overall, an excellent game that could use more mental challenges and requires a lot of time to play

You can also find additional allies (such as animals and human guests) that will always follow you, though you have no control on them and once they die they are gone forever. Upgrading skills and attributes is fundamental, as it may unlock new areas and choices during dialogues. A good strategy would be creating a team where everyone excels in different categories, so their skills can become useful in multiple scenarios.

There are really just two big problems. First, the game places quantity over quality when it comes to encounters with monsters. After you wade through literally hundreds of creatures, you will likely only remember the tough ones which infrequently appear and the end bosses. Although there are dozens of monster types in the game, they all become rather monotonous after you kill 50 or more of each type

Enemies are supposed to have a field of vision that you can see but in many cases of set combats with stationary enemies, they can "see" you without you having any idea where their field of vision is (more lengthy re-loading). Because the game doesn't truly save your position, you may have set up some of your characters in dangerous positions where crouching for cover is keeping them hidden, but when you re-load, you'll find them standing up again, which is where the enemies will find them (more lengthy re-loading). Finally, you may set all your characters up in ambush positions, but when you hit the button to attack, the enemies suddenly detect you, launch into a monologue, and then "surprise" attack you. Melee attacks seem to work as long as you're in an adjacent tile, even if one tile is 20-30 feet in the air above the "adjacent" tile
