For anyone looking for a colour accurate, 4K 144hz monitor with a USB-C input, check out the Gigabyte M28U. Same product line as a few of the other Gigabyte monitors mentioned.

This is a great monitor. Sadly, I don't know if 4k is worth it at this size, as I still end up scaling everything to match my second 1080p monitor. In fact, running 4k resolution at 100% makes everything so small, if you're looking to go with 4k I'd recommend a larger monitor. I've also noticed that red colors pop a lot more and I haven't been able to figure out how to fix this

The problem is that the refresh rate is 29 hz by using usb-c to usb-c. One of the solutions is to open the lid while connecting may solve this issue. I hope Dell should understand that lots of people are using Macbook.
