Danner Men's Pronghorn Gore-Tex Hunting Shoe vs Vasque Juxt

Sierra and Grouse going on 3-4 seasons with little show in wear, very scuffed and scratched, but still going strong. I returned these. On the plus side, they did feel comfy, but I do not need 8" slippers for around the house.

If you've not tried lace to toe styling before it is fantastic for secure, form-fitting comfort of your foot, where the toe Rand is a tough rubber toe...

We try not to be. We want something comfortable that lasts and is waterproof throughout the season. I don't know if there's a more popular hunting boo...

Now, I'm upset with myself. I'm dropping my review to 3 stars because they just don't hold up over time. This pair was used for minimal hiking and mostly normal, everyday wear. The rubber part that covers the front of the shoe toes area started peeling off again

The boot seemed well made. The fit is not the same as the old Pronghorn. The ones I got were to narrow, so I ordered the wide fit and they were still to narrow. I'm returning both pair

On the first few wearings, there was noticeable heel lift. This has diminished somewhat as the shoes have broken in - perhaps because the sole has softened up and perhaps because the shoe is molding to my foot. But it remains true that the heel fit of the Juxt does not seem as.

I bought these in September on sale in anticipation of hunting season. I tried them on at the time and wore them around the house with thinner socks and I thought they were fine. In December I headed out in the woods with thicker socks and immediately realized they were too small. I didn't have the nerve to send them back to Cabella's and ask for a return, but had a friend who was 2 full sizes below me and they fit him perfectly

Kind of odd since there are so many reviews that state they fit "true to size". My foot shape isn't odd so I rarely have problems fitting that size. I'm a bit peeved though that I have to pay return shipping. Also, the option of selecting "replace" for a larger size wasn't even an option with the Seller (Rogan's Shoes out of Wisconsin)

This is an amendment of an earlier review. Do not waste your money on these boots. The material around the edge of the boot comes away from the boot and crumbles. The stitching is weak and holes form

but they do not last and should be half the price of what they are so just know that if you are looking at them. They are a well known brand in the outdoors community and these shoes come highly recommended but the heals compress very quickly and they get uncomfortable in short order. The life span of a shoe like this for such a high cost should be closer to 1-2 years without a single issue. Instead my first pair lost support and popped the stitching in less than 3 months

Spent a couple of weeks trying to break them in before giving up. Bring back the old design!

I was looking for a sturdy low top hiker that was comfortable, light weight and stylish (for going to dinner) I wanted something that I could wear for touring the cities as well as on a 12 mile Great Wall adventure.

..the sole is what I really like as it grips and is contoured almost perfectly for walking/hiking/climbing

If you are an active individual looking for a shoe that holds up, is comfortable, supportive, and doesn't look like clown shoes, then this may be what you are looking for.
