The placement of the cord makes use of the included storage container awkward to use and not worth the trouble. I’ve owned mixers with similar accessories before that worked! The controls are awkward as well, there is an on/off switch and separate speed switch, so every time it’s turned off and back on you have to move up to the desired speed. This might be an advantage on a stand mixer but it’s an aggravation on a hand mixer. Also the low speed is very fast when turned on, then slows down, No idea why they would make it that way (I should not have ignored other reviews on that one!) I will have to say it’s got power enough to mix anything I’ve thrown at it and speed that will whip to a froth

it is faster, hotter and more even. We love it! In fact, it has started the chain of replacing ALL of our appliances with the ones from this line. It looks professional and high end. I love the handles and boxy look

Not as powerful as my older kitchenAid. The attachments aren't as good as the older models. I thought 9 speeds would give me more power. Not great for cookies or creaming cold butter

It was applied crooked, but I'm afraid I will tear it up if I try to correct it. My previous Kitchen Aid had a sturdy, bendable metal for the banner and the appliance seemed to be built out of sturdier plastic. The overall new appliance seems to be covered with a lighter plastic. Since this is the way appliances and everything else is made now, I don't have any recourse in a hand-held mixer in this price range

UPDATE: 1 year later - I have had this mixer now for a year and I can’t tell you how many times I say “I LOVE THIS MIXER!” Every time I start mixing something I can’t get over the ease of holding this mixer (extremely light) and the left handed swivel on the cord- perfect. After a year it’s still quiet , sturdy, smooth Transition on the speeds and a tremendous workhorse. Best mixer I have ever owned. Still loving it!

I was more than a surprised, I was amazed! First time using it, WOW I now understood this 'New Age Hand Mixer' as it was the best Hand Mixer I'd ever used in my life and oh so easy to clean, and better yet no loss of batter! The old-fashion hand mixtures I previously owned (from days gone by) was much harder to wash/clean as well as my having to lose some of the batter as the batter would 'stick' to the wider blades & grove. Also taking into account the fact that you'd have to 'manually dial up or down w/only 30-Speed (Low, Med & high) which never really worked as All 3-Speeds were quite high, splashing all over the place w/me practically having to wrap my one hand and forearm to keep splashes from going all over the place. This KitchenAid hand mixer w/much thinner blades is fantastic and once you hit Off it automatically stops, and then when you turn it on it starts as a nice controlled 'slow' speed which you simple press the Up Icon to increase the speed w/out any hassels. I can't believe I resisted trying this newer KitchenAid mixers for so long (foolish on my part) but I guess I just didn't believe the thin blades would really mix the batters well (it's better than fantastic) and I absolutely Love it! I bought the Empire Red color as 'Red' is my happy color and it's absolutely a true (blue/red) color… and not an orange/red color

I bought this item to replace a bulky and heavy bread machine. I make gluten-free bread every week. The difference in its consistency from wheat-based bread means that bread machines can only be used for kneading the bread, then the dough has to be removed and the rest of the process completed manually. My new Cuisinart allows me to put the ingredients in a large bowl and mix using the kneading attachments

not sure what happened since i've only used it for simple frosting and cake mixes, but by the time the issue arose, my Amazon warranty was expired. However KitchenAid still covered the situation. I was impressed at how quickly amazon customer service connected me to kitchenaid warranty dept, and i had a brand new mixer in my hands 2 days later with a prepaid return shipping label - all at no additional cost. Despite having an issue with the product, both amazon and kitchenaid were terrific at resolving it immediately

Just noticing that you can't even see the cord in the picture as advertised. Also, the release button (see the black lever right below the handle) is positioned in a place that isn't too close to where your hands are when the mixer is in use, and attachments might be inadvertently triggered to be released when in use.

Not to mention deafening racket. Completely unacceptable. I hate this and wish I'd never bought it. It was a replacement for a worn-out KitchenAid, and doesn't come close to performing as well

The amount of torque on my wrist from both was the same and the noise generated from both was identical and not as quiet as some have stated in their reviews and is still noisy. The beaters ejected easily on both and both units cleaned up quickly after use. The bottom Line. The only improvement I personally found between the new 9 speed and my old 5 speed was the lower speed on #1 setting

This mixer is not good for heavy doughs. The gears stripped out on mine making buttercream filling for Bonbons. I replaced it with the same model mixer but will use my stand mixer for buttercream candy filling in the future.

It's big and heavy. So when I was thinking about what I might want for Christmas this year, I decided a hand mixer. Then I started to research hand mixers and ended up choosing this one. I really like it

I dislike the thin wire beater blades. A wider blade works better. It's difficult to cream items and they tend to sling ingredients out if the bowl.

On the positive side, the warming drawer is helpful but you can't put in anything too tall- and by tall, I mean a dish with a lot of food on it. The warming burner works really well and is a great feature. While I like this range and it looks beautiful, I would consider a different brand next time around. I'm sorry to be so critical, but customer reviews are important both to other consumers and the company
