I felt the edges of the lid were too sharp. I prefer a fryer with an attached lid so I can close the lid, then lower the basket. That's just safer. There is no charcoal filter

It has an adjustable temperature and a ready light lets. You know when the oil is ready for cooking there's, also a basket hook for mess free draining...

The Bad; It takes up some counter space and is not compact, however, if you want to fry decent amounts of food, a larger bin such as this one is needed. The break away cord is short and PIA. The unit has to be near the outlet, otherwise It'll pull it out if you move the unit more than a couple inches. Minor annoyance

I bought this and read reviews, but when I got the fryer it was too small for my family of 4. I would say it is perfect for two people as it is too small for three or four people. I like to fry my chicken wings in few batches instead of doing in several batches because I don't have time to stand there and keep frying all day so I like something bigger.

That said, with the fryer set to its highest temperature (375 degrees), it heated the cooking oil and indicated it was ready to use fairly quickly. Like others have mentioned, it actually reached a maximum temperature of 362 degrees, 13 degrees shy of the setting. My last negative comment doesn't come as a surprise because its dimensions are stated. It's small

I was only able to fry french fries and tater tots in this because of the size, however they did fry up perfectly. This would make a nice fryer for someone single that has a small apartment or dorm because it does not take up much counter space at all.

Every time you clean it you need to have the care of a brain surgeon basically because you don't want any water to reach the rest of the appliance. Needless to say, this makes the cleaning way more stressful than it should be, hence making this appliance VERY DIFFICULT to clean as far as I'm concerned since I don't really care about washing something by hand myself. Why did I buy this unit then? Well, I was under the impression that you could take the bowl off, I even searched the Q&A looking for this info and someone says that you could do it. Turns out this listing used to be shared with a different, bigger, deep fryer model from Cuisinart that you could take the bowl apart to clean it and that answer was for that one apparently

A little bit of work to clean. Nice little fryer for price. Does not come with a spoon or tongs, just the little basket. (Can fry 4-5 small wings at a time)

The unique magnetically attached power cord sure seemed like a gimmick when I pulled the unit out of the box. But the first time I moved the full unit I snagged the cord on our stand mixer and the magnet released the cord from the base. I had made sure the unit was unplugged, but was not watching close enough to notice the plug was hung up on the mixer. Had the cord been hard-wired, I would have had warm oil spread all over the counter and floor
