Every time you clean it you need to have the care of a brain surgeon basically because you don't want any water to reach the rest of the appliance. This is a great unit for people who deep fry occasionally for a dinner party of maybe 4-5 people. It would not be a great unit for someone trying to cook a large amount of fried chicken quickly and serve it to an extended family at thanksgiving, for example. The PROS: 1) Price cannot be beat.
