This knife came super dull. Waiting to take it to a blade smith to get it redone. Overall it is not an impressive knife. Giving Esse a try and i was not impressed

I have gone through larger limbs as well with more work. The sheath holds well, but the snaps don’t hug it way to tight. It just does go over the handle, it does grip the runner well just wish it was a little more secure. It’s not uncomfortable on my side either while I’m working

The sheath is great. Now need to test it out. It really feels like a survival knife and not a bushcraft small detailing like my garberg mora carbon. But this will be my heavy chopping instead of a axe

For the price I probably should not have expected much better though. The handle is nice though, comfortable and easy to hold. The whole thing looks cool too.

This thing is wicked heavy and solid and bigger then I thought but is still a well balanced knife just heavy ... kinda wish I got a smaller version Deffinatley not an edc not like for camping or hunting or survival mode compared to the jeo tech which is light enough to to carry but probly wouldn’t handle much of the work in those environments

I would replace the grip, but the grip is riveted; not screwed. I would only buy another if the grip was updated, or replaceable. I will update this review after I put the blade to work.

I found it with the Esee 5P. Took it to the woods for a three day backpacking trip to put it through its paces to see how it would hold up. Blew my expectations out of the water. Baton wood, chop wood, cut paths and trails

Good construction and arrived fairly sharp (I sharpened it further to my liking). I'm not a big fan of the curved handle design personally, but this was the first time I tried one and can see how it could appeal to others. Quality sheath too. Overall a good machete

Excellent construction. A very hefty blade - full tang. The blade coating seems very durable - like an epoxy. The sheath is very good too, but I wish that these would come standard with the Blade-Tech belt bracket

It was decently sharp upon arrival but wore down quickly. I touch up the blade with a whetstone after every use to maintain a good edge. It’s a little heavy but if you intend to use it for breaking down thicker material than the weight is a must to hold up to that sort of impact. Overall for the price it’s not bad just watch out for the handle coming loose

However, it is hard to imagine breaking this tank of a knife. I had ordered a BK2 just because, but returned it because I was not up to ordering micarta handles and a kydex sheath as I have for my other Becker knives; plus there was no use for it other than adding to my knife collection. In all this is a great knife and worth every penny.

Love the weight, great chopper, best I have, my go to. Have 42 acres, lots of maintenance. Use at my lake house. Had 3 places on edge roll over

I own 2 other ESEE knives (4" and 6") and love them both, but this monstrosity with its 1/4 inch thick blade is more like a hatchet or a pry bar than a knife. It's too heavy for practical carry in the woods and I do just fine with my other knives if I need to chop kindling, so no need to use or carry a big wedge of steel like this.
