I am a beginner in the 3D printing arena. I selected this printer based on the price, quality of print, spare parts availability and their price. Assembling was time taking but easy task. I referred several you tube videos

Great printer. Bad customer support.

 It really seems like its an absolute workhorse at the entry-level without any crazy drawbacks, and solid for the price. (looking at around $280~ on Amazon, which I'm comfortable with, plus its a 'reputable seller' from what I've read.)

This thread is meant to conglomerate purchase advice for both newcomers and people looking for additional machines. Keeping this discussion to one thread means less searching should anyone have questions that may already have been answered here, as well as more visibility to inquiries in general, as comments made here will be visible for the entire month stuck to the top of the sub, and then linked to in the next month's thread.

If you are new to 3D printing, and are unsure of what to ask, try to include the following in your posts as a minimum:

* Your budget, set at a numeric amount. Saying "cheap," or "money is not a problem" is not an answer people can do much with. 3D printers can cost $100, they can cost $10,000,000, and anywhere in between. A rough idea of what you're looking for is essential to figuring out anything else.
* Your country of residence.
* If you are willing to build the printer from a kit, and what your level of experience is with electronic maintenance and construction if so.
* What you wish to do with the printer.
* Any extenuating circumstances that would restrict you from using machines that would otherwise fit your needs (limited space for the printer, enclosure requirement, must be purchased through educational intermediary, etc).

While this is by no means an exhaustive list of what can be included in your posts, these questions should help paint enough of a picture to get started. Don't be afraid to ask more questions, and never worry about asking too many. The people posting in this thread are here because they want to give advice, and any questions you have answered may be useful to others later on, when they read through this thread looking for answers of their own. Everyone here was new once, so chances are whoever is replying to you has a good idea of how you feel currently.

Additionally, a quick word on print quality: Most FDM/FFF (that is, filament based) printers are capable of approximately the same tolerances and print appearance, as the biggest limiting factor is in the nature of extruded plastic. **Asking if a machine has "good prints," or saying "I don't expect the best quality for $xxx" isn't actually relevant for the most part** with regards to these machines. Should you need additional detail and higher tolerances, you may want to explore SLA, DLP, and other photoresin options, as those *do* offer an increase in overall quality. If you are interested in resin machines, make sure you are aware of [how to use them safely](https://www.reddit.com/r/3DPrinting/wiki/resinprinting#wiki_safety). For these safety reasons we don't usually recommend a resin printer as someone's first printer.

I repair old electronics for fun, but I find broken parts often. I'd like to know a material type and printer that could print strong replacements pieces. For example, I have a Dreamcast controller with two broken triggers, if I could print replacements, that would be awesome.

 Once you confirm that the filament is extruding with the correct color you'll get this message and you're ready to print. The printer came with an sd card preloaded, with several pre-sliced files. To get you started, i chose benchy here's a time lapse of my very first print. Overall, the quality is pretty good

. Another potential con is the price. at $ 1,000 it’s, far from the cheapest printer, but my experience has been with CR-10s and with FlashForge and with Qidi. I think 3D printing is really amazing, and I love 
sharing this information, and that's why we made  

this review. Because we have so many of these 
printers, and we print so much with them, I think  

we've got valuable insights that might be helpful 
for other farm operators and for other hobbyists.

I’ve been running this YouTube channel, 
and this nerf mod business for about  

five and a half years now, and we 
didn't start with Prusa printers,  

but once we got our first Mark-3, we 
didn't look back. As far as I’m aware,  

we run the largest Prusa print farm outside of 
Prusa themselves over in the Czech Republic.

Running a 3D printing farm has been a 
really challenging task over the past years.  

The initial task was just keeping up with running 
them myself because I was answering emails,  

running the business, sourcing new products, 
buying, doing all the purchasing, inventory,  

and designing, and printing, and doing everything. 
As we've grown the team, it's really become about  

the uptime and keeping the printers not only 
busy by designing products at the right pace to  

actually be able to sell things but 
also to keep them up and operational and  

keep ahead of repairs. It's a fine line between 
having too much labor and too little labor.

And at times, we've been completely slammed. There 
was one time when we were at about 36 printers; we  

actually backed up our print queue to about four 
months. We had one product that just went crazy,  

and we were four months backlogged and could not 
get more printers and space and electricity fast  

enough. And the challenges are kind of part of 
the game, and it's been a really enjoyable time.  

I think 3D printing is just an amazing technology, 
and there's a lot of opportunity because seven
