My kids school was going to throw away 2 MP10's and a Elegoo Mars Pro resin printer. Their teacher gave them to me for free with about $100 worth of resin, and a "have fun!". After a LCD screen, a good cleaning, tightening, and a bed level, I now have 3 perfectly working printers to compliment my Anycubic's. $17 bucks, it's work every penny.

Got the printer, leveled and did test prints. Got 2 rooks off, did a third but it looked off... Tried another print and nothing but goop came out. I'm going to also say anything, a 12 year old can handle whatever if given the chance. Ender 3 is the most common starter FDM printer. Elegoo Mars for resin, but unless you really trust them and can supervise often then maybe stick with FDM.
