Great pack, did a lot of research on backpacks for a European backpacking trip. This was the best deal I could find, with the built in compartment organizers versus buying a regular pack with packing organizers. Love how sturdy, aesthetic and supportive this pack is! Highly recommended!

Love love love this pack!

 Throughout the pack, there are two fabrics on the outside, this very thick Tpu coated. it's kind of a rubberized 1000 denier polyester on this whole front panel, and then on the back is this thick 840 denier ballistic nylon that runs throughout the back panel. They use these huge beefy number 10 ykk zips on the main compartment and then smaller number eights on the other interior and exterior pockets. and then the hardware is all solid, sturdy Duraflex brand nylon buckles and adjusters

 However, there is really no false bottom or false top on this pack to give extra protection. There is a little sleeve in here with a velcro that will hold a small tablet or laptop. However, the dimensions on this thing are only about 11 and a half by eight and a half deep, which I think will just barely fit a 13 inch Macbook air. The carry system on the Alpha has wide, thin shoulder straps, a padded back, and a minimalist hip belt

 The shoulder straps are thin, but they're wide enough to offset that. Easy to adjust sternum strap, the hip belt. I don't think it's really necessary, but it does help when you get a lot of weight in this pack. A couple of pros and cons on the Elba

 Alright, let's move on to the inside of the pack.. One Thing I Want to bring up are the smart features on these zippers.

 This Really feels like packing a suitcase and it's a bonus if you like that type of packing style.. We Love this style because we encourage people to get packing cubes and other smaller organizer pouches to keep a lot of their gear in. It Just makes it a lot easier when you're organizing and packing your gear

 This One has a decently robust system going on. Small Handle on top, as well as some lash straps on the outside of the pack. This Pack opens up in horseshoe style and we have another zippered mesh compartment at the top here. Then On the front, we have another pocket going on with a smaller mesh pocket as well
