Coleman Xtreme 5-Day 70qt vs RTIC 65

We returned the cooler and are just sticking with the smaller coleman cooler that has much thicker insulation and takes less ice and keeps things cool as advertised.

Originally we started with just the Roadie 24 thinking it would be good enough but Yeti coolers lose a lot of internal space to how much insulation they have. Once we added the 65 to the arsenal that solved all of our problems.

only concern is how long the plastic "hinges" for lid will hold up with multiple opening of lid to serve meals.

I got the RTIC and side by side test with Yeti by independent labs show same amount of ice lasting the same or slightly longer. About half the price!

Once that happens it is almost impossible to carry and I was on a road trip which was a pain. I returned this cooler and went with steel. Steel is more manageable and durable.

I may never use the RTIC soft cooler again because the R24 is so good and easy to move around.

I’m not Walt Disney, so I don’t worry about cryogenically freezing my cold drinks. This ice chest is solid, and for about a month, it out performs what I expect. I price shopped local box stores and the price I got this at beat the prices of the competition. I had shipping issues in the past, but amazon made it right

Coleman extreme are pretty good and a great price. I have a yeti, rtic, and Coleman extreme. Coleman is my go to. So much lighter and perfectly adequate for a few days

This cooler is sporty, cheap enough that you don't have to worry about beating it up a little, and the closure is extremely firm.

The cooler is part of a 1930s "style" buffet. (Cooler on the R) The design will also include a specialized homemade wine bottle cooler (M) also recessed but removable with a drain plug and well-insulated. And in between those two coolers is the stainless steel or brass re-enforced hole to receive a 9' rectangle market umbrella. Then next on the end area (L), will be a 10" x 10" piece of Travertine for a cutting board

Impressive. All in all, this cooler completely feels premium without the sticker shock.
