Coleman Xtreme 5-Day 70qt

WE were going car camping for 5 days and decided we needed a larger coleman cooler than the one we had purchased the year before (which was also a 5 day keeps cool cooler). IT LEAKS !!!!!!!! The drain plug is higher than the bottom channel, so you still have to lift it to drain MOST of the water out. NOT good if you have paper towels and other items in it during rain storm. I use it for storing bagged bird seed. Haven't tried it as COOLER yet, but not impressed.

The cooler itself is huge and looks nice. Pretty disappointed that the lid broke off within just a few times opening it on its first trip out. The screws holding the hinges in came right out like they werent even gripping.

Did not keep ice as long as I expected. States it is 5 day extreme, took it to the beach but had to add ice each and every day. Even with the block ice didn't stay cold as long as I expected.

Coolers working wonderfully right now as new... only concern is how long the plastic "hinges" for lid will hold up with multiple opening of lid to serve meals.

Pros:

Inexpensive and well-insulated; keeps things nice a cold for a long time.

Cons:

1. The lid has no latches, it has to be pushed down hard to pinch closed, and when we're camping no one realizes or remembers to push it closed after grabbing a drink.
