Civivi Baklash vs CRKT Folts Biwa Fixed Blade Knife Brown/Black G-10

Perhaps I just received a bad example of what is seemingly a great knife otherwise, but sadly I think it'll see less time in my pocket from here on out.

Good knife, sharp, grippy enough, good profile, but useless without a decent sheath that actually retains the knife! How is it that an established company like CRKT can't make a decent sheath for this that retains it securely, yet Canku and other Chinese startups have no problem doing so? Disappointed and returning.

only I would recommend the G-10 handles for better grip than this particular Baklash model.

Good edge out-of-the-box, a sturdy spine, and a comfortable handle. What more could you ask for, right? You don't have to ask. BIWA delivers.

But I have butter knives that are sharper than this blade!! I bought two, and both are equally dull and difficult to sharpen. That's a deal killer for me. I'm disappointed.

The Tonife Nova is the better knife and half the price. I believe both of these knives are made in China. Sending the Biwa back for a refund

Only materials could improve, but you would have to pay way more if it was made from a higher grade steel. Can't really beat it for the cost. Great balance, opens with ease, precision manufacturing. Looks and functions like a $100+ knife

5 out of 5 for quality it’s beautifully made, perfect size for a neck knife which is why I bought it, it’s the right shape, it’s super useful for the hunting and fishing I do.
