 So we got a few crazy powder days with hardly anyone around to track them out, but now I really appreciate how hard it is to hike to ride, even with snowshoes.  The only thing I can't do on it is press, it's too stiff for me to do that. I still really like it in soft and fresh snow, there's enough stiffness to really lean back and you can count on it holding everything together, it always feels stable. I ride a couple of different sets of blindings on this in different clips, though mostly it's Burton cartels, which are the black and the pinky red ones, as well as some Burton step-on X. Step-on bindings were pretty handy when we were hiking features in the park just trying to learn new tricks

 Good. These few clips are from Hotham in Australia in 2020, our mountain got shut down very early and people weren't allowed to travel, but everyone who was living up there was still able to hike. So we got a few crazy powder days with hardly anyone around to track them out, but now I really appreciate how hard it is to hike to ride, even with snowshoes. Capita Mercury Snowboard Review Part 2

 Hello snowboarders of the internet! I'm your host, Abram LaFeber, and in this video we're gonna be reviewing the Capita Mercury. This board features Capita's Resort V2 profile, which is cambered to just outside the insert and then rocker in the nose and the tail. They'll say it's reverse camber, it's rocker. Basically this board's cam rocker

 So what you're gonna get is the load and pop of traditional camber underfoot, but you're gonna get a little bit more play out in the nose and the tail which will give you a little bit more ease of entry in and out of turns as well as more optimal powder float. This board is available in 150, 153, 155, 157, 159, 161, 156 wide, 158 wide, 160 wide. I rode this board at Copper Mountain and what can only be described as the ultimate way to test any board because we had sunny bluebird skies, cloudy skies, cooler temps, warmer temps, fresh snow, chunder snow, frozen snow, heavy wet dead-ass powder, ice, death cookies, creamy groomers, firm fast groomers, and I rode it with my Rome black label bindings and my K2 Thraxis boots. So the overall flex of this board comes in at just past middle of the road all-mountain freestyle

 You got that rocker in the nose and the tail. So all you need to do is really pop into it, flex it a little bit. You're going to lock into that press. You're going to feel the camber take over, give you a little bit of fight, which is going to give you that snap out of it, but it doesn't overwhelm you

In fact, it's kind of just a predictable flex with this board although I will say it does feel stiffer than previous generations that I've ridden

The 2022 Capita Mercury Snowboard Review

 This board is very nimble edge to edge, and what you're really going to notice is the torsional flex on this board. When you load up and you're in a carve and you're pushing it and you really want to drive it further, you can just flex that board, twist it in there, get it to arc that carve, and drive it even harder if you have to. This is one of those boards that if you're being mellow and you're carving and suddenly you just want to throw a Eurocarb out of nowhere, go for it. You don't have to worry about it

 All right, so we got a middle of the road all-mountain flex, which means softer tip and tail, stiffer section underfoot and through the middle, with a fair amount of torsional flex. Now, I do believe that they have softened this board up compared to what it has been in the past. Now, when it comes to stability, stable to a point, you're going to see some chatter in the tips and that will resonate and reverberate back underfoot. You're going to feel that

 The snow was fast when I rode it. And I rode this board with my K2 Thraxis boots and my K2 Indy bindings. All right, so we got a middle of the road all-mountain flex, which means softer tip and tail, stiffer section underfoot and through the middle, with a fair amount of torsional flex. Now, I do believe that they have softened this board up compared to what it has been in the past

The Capita Mercury Snowboard Review

 I've been riding this in early season conditions, I've hit plenty of hidden rocks, stumps and it seems tough. A few times up I've looked down expecting to see core shots of edge damage but so far it's dealt with it without a problem. Although it doesn't come in wide widths it's pretty much a mid-wide board anyway. The 159 and 161 sizes have a waist width of 259 and 261 millimeters so if you have big boots they're going to be a good option

 The base is the fastest the Capita have that's just found on their top end boards and it comes with a nice structure as well. So I'm riding the 157cm model which has a suggested weight range of 59 to 86 kilos or 130 to 190 pounds. I'm right in the middle of that range at about 72 kilos so it makes sense that the flex feels pretty accurate to how Capita describe it. For all mountain riding with the way I ride the flex is pretty much perfect for me

 It's about as close as you can get to one board that rides everything well. The camber profile with the rocker on the nose and tail still gives you good edge hold on icy snow. It has a solid feel and the rocker tones it down a little bit so there's none of the catchier feeling you sometimes get with full camber boards. It floats well in deep snow, has great pop and a really fast base

I bought this board without riding it because it sounded like a board I would like and I'd heard good things about it from friends who had ridden it that have a similar riding style to me. The Snowboard Asylum

I rode the Yes Typo 159 for awile, my first rocker, was effortless in the pow and trees but I hated having no impact obsorbstion landing jumps and the stability at high speeds is not there. I went back to a DOA, with today's hybrid camber and presses you arnt fighting to keep your nose up and I can't sacrifice the stability and control with a Rocker. Great for its purpose but I'm to much of an all terrain rider to be satisfied as one for my daily driver.

Am returning to the slopes after 5 seasons off. Am a powder hound when it permits. Looking for recommendations for a rocker that will work for someone getting back into it. I was a fairly advanced rider before. I hear good things about Arbor. Any recommendations would be appreciated. 

Am 6'0. 175lbs. Need a midwide for sure.

 Hey everyone, Jeremy from The Snowboard Asylum and in this video we're going to be taking a look at the new Yes Typo. The Typo is another one of those boards in the Yes collection that can trace its origin back to Yes' debut season. And squarely at riders who are looking for a resort busting all terrain board that combines a relatively easy going feel with a versatile rider in directional twin shape, it's the perfect choice for anybody who wants one board that's going to perform equally well in the park, the pal and on groomers. With a flex rated at 6 out of 10, it delivers the optimum blend of response, control and feel producing a board that you can ride hard when you want to, but on those days when you want to take it a bit easier, it's not going to give you a hard time

 Do everything ride everything board that's just going to let you take on absolutely the whole mountain but you're not going to have to break the bank to get one.

 When the board's running through the arc of the sidecut as well this bit's going to give you really good grip and really good stability. So the board really does ride on the edge a lot better than you would expect for this kind of price point and like the basic it's that what really sets the board apart. Now that sidecut is also formed from a variable sidecut so you've got a slightly longer sidecut at the tip and tail and a slightly deeper sidecut through the middle. So that slightly longer sidecut is just going to make the board turn in a little bit easier while it's going to make it really grippy through the middle of the turn as well

Yes Typo 2023 | The Snowboard Asylum

 Even if you're an intermediate rider or even pushing up to advanced, trying to take one step at a time but still want the twin aspect, I think this is a great deck. Who's it not for? It's not for the super, super technical, bombing, directional-loving powderhound riders. I would not recommend this board for a really advanced rider that's looking for something that you want to charge on. I would recommend this to either a beginner, intermediate rider, or someone that spends their time in the park

 Hey, this is Frankie with Curated, today I'm riding the Yes Typo in 156 wide. So you know, I'm not affiliated with any brands, these are all my own unbiased opinions. This thing is a ball, I've said it ten times, there's, it is so much fun just to screw around on this board. It's got a really soft flex, I know that they say that it's gonna be a six, it feels more like a three, like it is super bendy, extremely playful, but it's got a lot of pop, it's got a lot of snap coming over any side hits, even just ollieing

I’m here again seeking input from the subreddit, however this time it is not for myself. My girlfriends birthday is approaching, and after seeing my new snowboard she told me that she was jealous and wants a board of her own. 

Her and I both have similar riding styles, so an All Mountain/Freestyle board with a True Twin shape is what I’d be looking for. We both ride with a loose surfy flow, but also bomb groomers, and shred some pow in trees. 

She’s fairly new to riding, this will be her second season but she’s already been on a double black diamond. I wouldn’t say she’s quite “Advance” level but definitely at an intermediate stage. 

Ideally I’d want to buy her a “Swiss Army Knife” board, something capable of hitting jumps, floating on some pow, and bombing icy slopes. 

She really like the Lib Tech Ryme, any opinions on the board, or boards I should look at?
