If you ride on the east coast, do yourself a favor and get one of those two YES boards. They’re so good on ice. I own a Typo. Started off on a Basic.

IMO, it's very overpriced, but it's a very versatile board that will do well, at minimum, under most conditions a mountain can throw at you. Other fantastic "quiver of one" boards out there would be the Yes Typo, Rossignol Revenant, and the Ride Algorythm.

Lots of just riding and carving while I get better on the board. I want something I can grow into but won't hate right now. I am very sold on the Yes Typo, but it is only for pre-order at $450 and I'd really like to spend $100 or so less if something can do what I need in a similar way.

I bought the 21/22 Typo and from my research both Basic and Typo will do relatively well in resorts/park ( i am not sure about trees) but Typo will definitely be better at pow than the Basic. The Typo seems to be a really good board for beginners/intermediate as well as a really fun board for experts.

Not all hybrid-camber boards have that, most are camber between the feet with rocker in the tip and tail - that's the ideal combination for stability and float. Here's a few you should check out, all of these are going to perform well in pow, as well as be able to lay trenches on-demand: Capita Mercury, Ride Algorhythm, Yes Typo, Salomon Assassin, LibTech Dynamo.

I rode the Yes Typo 159 for awile, my first rocker, was effortless in the pow and trees but I hated having no impact obsorbstion landing jumps and the stability at high speeds is not there. I went back to a DOA, with today's hybrid camber and presses you arnt fighting to keep your nose up and I can't sacrifice the stability and control with a Rocker. Great for its purpose but I'm to much of an all terrain rider to be satisfied as one for my daily driver.

I’d check out either a Rossignol Jibsaw or Yes Typo. Both are solid all mountain boards. The Yes Typo is good on hard snow and the Jibsaw has some serious disruption on the side cut for some serious edge hold.

I like carving and riding the mountain (though they will mostly be small ones). I have size 12W boots so I think I need at least wide board (not sure about ultrawide?). I was recommended here the Yes Typo and Libtech Dynamo.
