Canon EOS Rebel T8i vs Nikon D600

6x crop sensor plus a 2x crop for 4k video. I recorded to a Ninja V (mainly to be able to break the 30 minute mark). Footage looks good for the price on an entry level camera. Not a huge dynamic range, but it looks good, especially after being able to dial things in with the tools on the Ninja V

Always fuzzy. This is my issue, not the camera's I’m sure. Or so I thought but upon reading many Canon lens reviews I find a common thread among some is the auto focus either doesn’t work or stops working. You could really even look at a t7, same camera really, big drawback is no flip screen but it’s less than half the price, otherwise just get the t8i or sl3 you will be able to take fantastic photos with any of them, modern camera sensors are so good and that is a decent kit lens, you can add an ef-s 55-250 is stm lens as well if you want a nice telephoto zoom to complete the kit. You will be more than happy with the quality of images you can produce, the only limitation will really be your technique,.

The files are so impressively noise free, a shot will warn then converted to JPEG with noise reduction set normal, and you get usable files at ISO 128...

The flip screen is definitely a bigggg plus! Also it comes with a lot of easy setting for beginners. I don’t use them often but they do come in handy here and there. I prefer shooting in RAW and in Manual. But even if you are still learning the auto settings are pretty dope! I also love how I can’t transfer photos without removing my SD card! The only reason why this didn’t get 5 stars is because it came with the wrong battery charger! I received a LC-E12 charger instead of an LC-E17

Nicer grip, extra dial, better AF, etc. all make photography easier under different conditions and dare I say, more enjoyable.

Partner it with a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM for portrait work and you're on to a winner.

In those rare occasions I am stopped down and do not want to manually remove the spots, I use the dust-off feature of Nikon Capture NX2 to clean the image automatically. For those of us serious about this hobby our investment is in the glass. Nikon continues to protect this investment by allowing us to use the vast collection of F-Mount lenses with the newer higher-end digital cameras. The ability to have lens and exposure exif data recorded is a big deal to me

The T8i is a little more recent and seems to have better (slightly faster) autofocus, along with video stabilization

Olympus has implemented in-body stabilization in OM-D E-5 really well. I whole-heartedly recommend D600 for anyone looking for a full-frame, but after spending a small fortune on this camera, I advise not to skimp on good lenses.

I do like that it is pretty lightweight and for a female it just means she might use it more because it's easier to carry. Now I do like that on the T8i getting lenses are pretty easy and don't really need many accessories for it. Another concern of mine is night time photography. I'm not sure if it's the lenses that really matters but taking pictures of the night sky and star exposures is something that stands out as well, and in that regards I don't know which is better

I will try to carry my camera every week to the office/school at least so I need to be compact.

I researched for months on great entry level camera and I am a Canon person. This meets everything I need. Camera is perfect if you want it to do camera and video. I did not need big 4k video so this one worked great

The point of the Z5 is to offer an entry level full frame mirroless Z system camera body at the ~$1200 price point, a popular price for somewhat serious enthusiasts.

The editing software from Canon is also great. The first pic is with a 24mm prime lens and the second and third pic is a 50mm prime. All were edited in Canon's Digital Photo Professional 4. The fourth is the 18-55 lens that comes with the camera and not edited (It's the first day I went out to use the camera)

I was happy with the first few test shots but then I took it on the trip I bought it for and the battery just ran out almost immediately. I thought it was nothing at first and charged it again but it keeps happening. I hate returning things but this is a big problem.

The battery life is not that great, glad I ordered a second battery. D600's view finder is dark with the 28-300mm kit lens. It's 0.7x the size human eyes can see, so it's hard to compose sometimes
