Always fuzzy. This is my issue, not the camera's I’m sure. Or so I thought but upon reading many Canon lens reviews I find a common thread among some is the auto focus either doesn’t work or stops working. The camera body is surprisingly light although for my smaller women’s hands I find it a little awkward, especially the shutter button

My only complaint is that one of my lenses I use most often , Sigma 18-250mm, which I had no issues with prior on my T3i, works on this new body, but when you turn the camera on video it freezes up and is not compatible. Once you take the battery out it resets itself and it is fine. From what I have read it sounds like I can do a firmware update on the lens to make it compatible. In my opinion it takes much higher quality portrait pictures than the T3i and basically has the same style, but I like it is a tad bit lighter too

The flip screen is definitely a bigggg plus! Also it comes with a lot of easy setting for beginners. I don’t use them often but they do come in handy here and there. I prefer shooting in RAW and in Manual. But even if you are still learning the auto settings are pretty dope! I also love how I can’t transfer photos without removing my SD card! The only reason why this didn’t get 5 stars is because it came with the wrong battery charger! I received a LC-E12 charger instead of an LC-E17

This is all for static subjects using single point AF, I'm not trying to focus on moving subjects or track them. Overall, yes there are some improvements, the 24MP sensor gives a nice boost in resolution, however in jpegs out of the camera they are a little lost, only RAW will truly show it. The colors are a little different too and I think I like the older sensor colors a little better. The higher ISO noise is improved though, much better than the older 18MP sensor, maybe also helped by the newer Digic processor

You could really even look at a t7, same camera really, big drawback is no flip screen but it’s less than half the price, otherwise just get the t8i or sl3 you will be able to take fantastic photos with any of them, modern camera sensors are so good and that is a decent kit lens, you can add an ef-s 55-250 is stm lens as well if you want a nice telephoto zoom to complete the kit. You will be more than happy with the quality of images you can produce, the only limitation will really be your technique,.

I do like that it is pretty lightweight and for a female it just means she might use it more because it's easier to carry. Now I do like that on the T8i getting lenses are pretty easy and don't really need many accessories for it. Another concern of mine is night time photography. I'm not sure if it's the lenses that really matters but taking pictures of the night sky and star exposures is something that stands out as well, and in that regards I don't know which is better

Warning though, this camera will go through a battery in video mode. If you plan on shooting video, buy an extra battery or two. The upside is the amazing quality you'll get for less than $700

I was happy with the first few test shots but then I took it on the trip I bought it for and the battery just ran out almost immediately. I thought it was nothing at first and charged it again but it keeps happening. I hate returning things but this is a big problem.
