Underperforming zooms often drop in quality at the telephoto extreme. That is not the case with the 70-200mm f/2.8E. It notches 3,218 lines at 200mm f/2

The build quality is perfect if you ask me. The zoom ring is completely smooth which makes flashzoom shots a breeze, also any kind of zooming shot will have smoother zoom streaks. The focus ring is buttery smooth as well, making tack sharp manual a breeze as well. The 4-Stop IS works flawlessly making shots @ 200mm at speeds as long as 1/25 and 1/15 even possible

I like a heavy lens. The Tamron is slightly lighter, and the focus rings could be smoother. The Nikon wins in build quality and ease of focusing/zooming. Overall, the Nikon 70-200mm f/2

I posted a few sample image that I took with this news lens. Regarding the weight, you know what you are getting into, so, don't complain. Don't buy a Porsche and expect to put regular unleaded gas. Bottom line, you only live once, get it and you will be very happy with this lens

This is an amazing lens. There are some things I dont like but overall worth the money for what it can do. Ok so Ill just say that the Canon 70-200mm f4 lens on the 5d mark ii is a fantastic alternative to the more expensive counterparts. It's extremely fast autofocus is quiet and accurate
