 It's a very pliable board. You can steer it with your feet and it's a board that you can kind of mess up with every once in a while and it's going to kind of allow you to do that without you falling hard. And then of course is that extruded style base. It's a very low maintenance base

 Overall, the feeling flex of the wide is going to be about a four, a little bit stiffer than the regular width version. The wood core inside is called the fly core and it does feature squeeze box low core profiling. That means that outside of where your bindings rest, the wood core is actually just a little bit thicker for a better energy transfer right to your edge. The core has a bi-axe of fiberglass on top and on bottom that allows it to torsionally twist a lot easier than tri-axe

5 centimeters, but the thing that really matters most about this Ripcord is its width. With anyone that has bigger feet, when you're learning how to carve, the last thing that you want to do is fall down because your toes and your heels catch on the snow when you're learning how to carve.  If you wanna butter this board, you gotta get your weight way out on the nose or the tail, right into those softer spots, right where that flat section is, and really press into it. Expect a lot of rebound. Expect it to fight you. Just expect this board to want to just push back on you

 It does some things very well and it does some things very, very much in the realm of mediocre at best. I understand who this board is for and that rider will probably fully enjoy it. I am not that rider. This is not the board for me, but I think it does a disservice by having the DOA name

 You wanna keep your weight out over it. It's gonna give you some fight. It's honestly not the best if you're trying to slow speed butter. You need to really be hauling ass and really press into it, and the same can be said about jibbing with it

 You have to know what you're doing. You have to just be prepared for it. You're gonna engage it off the front, and that's gonna drive it into that turn, and then you have to understand when to steer it from the middle of the board through the back and where to finesse your weight and how to keep it engaged, because if you don't, you're gonna just have a sloppy ass carve, to be honest with you. This is a board that, the more speed and the more muscle you put into it, yeah, the better your carve's gonna go, but if you're doing slower speeds and you're still trying to lay a trench, not gonna happen

The 2021 Capita Super DOA Snowboard Review

 With this board you're going to get the same basic specs as you'll see in the regular DOA but you'll have a lighter weight construction, a stiffer board and just an all around more aggressive ride. With the Super DOA you're going to get a true twin shape so this board is ideally designed for a freestyle setting and because it's the stiffer version of the DOA it's meant to ride a little harder in that park setting so whether you're hitting those big gnarly rails or stomping 40, 50, 60 foot jumps this is the board you're going to want to ride. In the Super DOA you will get Capita's V1 resort profile so a traditionally cambered dominant board which you'll have regular camber through the length of the board but towards the tips you'll have a flat zero camber transition section, a small rocker section and then Capita's WAPOW flat kick tail technology. All of that is going to give you a super snappy and responsive board for when you're hitting those big ollies

 They have built structure into it straight out of the press that's going to keep it running fast right out of the wrapper. Because this is an aggressive board you're going to get a stiffer flex than you'll see in the regular Defenders of Awesome board. Obviously with that you're going to get a much snappier and powerful ollie as well. One of my favorite things about the Super DOA and all of Capita's boards is that they are handcrafted in the Mothership Factory in Austria

 So here we have the Capita Super DOA. The big brother board to one of Capita's best selling boards, the DOA are also known as the Defenders of Awesome. If you've been in love with the regular DOA in the past but you want a little bit more of a board, this is your next step
