 A lot of gibbers like that, I tend to like having a little bit of forward lean so I get on my heels that edge a little bit more, but the high back does have that zero lean style option. And then of course there's the ankle strap, this is the Hammock Strap 2.0, this is a mold injected style strap that features this flex slider, I believe I was calling that the living hinge before, the flex slider actually allows the ankle strap to stay open so you get more room to slide your foot in, it's actually kind of nice, but this ankle strap has a little bit of a softer appeal than what you'll find in some of the other mold injected straps like the Cartel and I believe the Genesis Genesis X, it actually has nice cool contours, it's 3D molded, has a little bit more lateral and medial style support and then a center style spine. The mold injection style ankle straps are nice, they conform really well to your boots and they use a lot less material in the manufacturing process

 Reflex means that Burton has kind of cored out the middle of the binding so it flexes more natural with the contours of the snow that you're riding on your board. You actually get a really good amount of board feel with the reflex style option. It's a little bit more sturdy than what you find in the EST option which gives you the most premier level of board feel but this one will flex better than basically any other binding out there because it doesn't cause any dead spots directly underneath your foot and they actually do that with these discs. 2019 Burton Mission Reflex Snowboard Bindings Review

 Hello, I'm Matt Guff from House.com and this is a 2019 Burton Mission Reflex Snowboard

 It's designed for all-mode freestyle use for beginner to advanced level hard charging riders.

 You can pretty much be any skill and ability and have a good time on this and it's a perfect

 match up for a lot of the park boards out there.

 You can mount it on basically any board you want to but a lot of people have come to know

 the Mission as being a very good park board.

 Put it on the Kilroy, put it on the Descendant, put it on the Paramount, put it on the Process

 and you're going to have a really good time.

 It is a softer than average style binding though.

 It does have a 30% short glass, nylon composite, single component base plate with reflex.

 Reflex means that Burton has kind of cored out the middle of the binding so it flexes

 more natural with the contours of the snow that you're riding on your board.

 You actually get a really good amount of board feel with the reflex style option.

 It's a little bit more sturdy than what you find in the EST option which gives you the

 most premier level of board feel but this one will flex better than basically any other

 binding out there because it doesn't cause any dead spots directly underneath your foot

 and they actually do that with these discs.

 The foot bed is a full bed of cushioning all the way from your heel to your toe, this is

 It's actually adjustable, you can adjust this ramp out so you get more leverage directly

 underneath your toes and that's another great thing about Burton Bindings, pretty much every

 component of this binding is adjustable in where you place it, how it's rotated and it

 doesn't really have any adjustments that you don't need.

 There's some bindings out there that you can adjust this and that and you don't really need

 The Mission has an awesome high back, it was updated probably 2 years ago or so, it has

 kind of a flat style design, it's kind of the shape that a lot of bindings are going

 towards now, pretty much a full back of EVA style padding, a dial forward lean adjustment

 that's easy to use, that's tool-less and a zero lean style design so you can put this

 thing straight up and down at 0 degrees or at a 90 degree angle.

I chose this board because I have a low budget and the store employee recommended it for beginners because of it's rocker stance and soft flex. I chose 158 cm because from what I've researched, you should lean towards the longer board if you're on the heavier side.
