This is a very nice damascus knife, delivered razor sharp in a quality leather sheath which deserves special mention. It is not a large knife and in terms of length is comparable to the SOG Seal Pup Elite, although the depth (and therefore overall weight) of the blade is greater. I am happy with the purchase and consider it good value for money

 every time that you hit something you you just you feel it rattling around in there and as a result I'm not super impressed with the construction on it and especially given there's nothing I can tighten here. Maybe it's just a blade rattling back and forth and I think that's honestly a big part of it is that the blade is able to kind of hit the one side of the other. is your rush shaking it around, but just on the belt you just feel that bouncing around in there and that's not something I'm a big fan of. Next thing, this has not the remotest chance of one hand closing

 This is the CTO 452 CF And so you can see that in terms of overall size, this is actually reasonably big. I mean even compared to the 452, it's not all that small and so that's uh, that's really actually pretty hardcore. The other thing I the other dimension I Want to highlight here we go is the thickness of this guy. Holy crap is this thing thick

 It's not the best phrasing, but it's a thing. I'm actually not finally at all. Uh, but this does use a Victorinox Mystery Steel. Um, if you look on their website or on any of the dealer websites, this is just referred to as stainless steel and look

 For 60 bucks, you're very, very close to, for instance, the Spyderco enduro, which is a really excellent option which is gonna be lighter in weight. It's gonna be a little bit, at least to my hand, a little bit more ergonomic and just feels it's got a nicest steel although even doesn't take all that much relative. Vic And you know, if you're willing to go with like for instance, a Chinese brand, you can get a whole bunch of stuff away less than this. And of course, if you're out being an ultimate hunter, just get a damn fix Play! I Don't talk much about fixed blades, but they are a really excellent tool for outdoors in because, well, you don't have to worry about any of this, you just tuck it back in the sheath and you case freakin' closed

 So you're going to look at something that's probably going to make a better knife for forcing things apart. So say a cheese cutting knife. This is going to be superior than this because this has a lot surface stick capability. In terms of slicing, you may find the Victorinox lacks compared to the spider code

 You could probably wedge and pry with this knife fairly well without worrying about the you know, large chunks being torn over blade or anything like that. So what do I you know what do you need to know about? Whatever this is the negatives that I can think: looks that most of these are sort of as objective as I can be. just things that I think of facts. So we start off with this is very heavy so it's twice the weight of the Spyderco Endura and it's not really doing a great deal more than the spider calendar

 So far it has proven to be servicable. It takes a fine edge, holds it for a decent amount of time, and is easy to sharpen with a ceramic rod. Victorinox also offers the Pro Hunter with a Damasteel blade as part of a limited edition release they did for 2020. This limited edition is retailing for $400, so I’m not sure how many of those you will see in the wild

 All the parts line up neatly, and the Hunter Pro feels well made. The bright aluminum handle and jaunty bias to the Victorinox cross give it an almost ceremonial appearance. As if this knife could be used at a coronation.

 It’s large, and I think that was necessary given how hefty the knife is. The clip’s spring tension is good, and the knife is held in place, but this is a knife that you will notice in the pocket. I’ve never been a belt and suspenders guy, but the Pro Hunter has me thinking about it. 

One nitpick is that the handle is riveted together. That’s fine for a $30 knife, but given the price tag of this model hovers around a hundo, I’d like a knife that can be disassembled and cleaned. Especially if it’s geared towards hunting.
