Great knife; a pocket-sized (and weighted) 110

 1) small in size as mentioned above ( but still large enough for reasonable use) 2) light weight 3) very slim profile 4) not "tactical" looking 5) US made This turns out to be harder than one might imagine. Knives tend to be too large, or too military looking for polite use, or most dreadfully made "offshore". Enter the "55". I have long been a fan of buck knives and have a deep respect for the fact that they manage to produce a high quality product in the US while keeping their prices very reasonable

 The good news is that the knife arrived and fits my parameters perfectly; it is small, light, handsome with brass bolsters and polished rose wood scales, but alas the blade was completely dull. I am not a stickler for the sharpness of a knife when it arrives, as I have high standards for sharpness and also understand that you need to be willing to work with a blade over its life. However the 55 that I receive appeared unfinished, the blade seems to have received the the first shaping grind, but none of the subsequent polishing or sharpening grinds, I had to work for 20 minutes on a grinding stone to get the primary bevel in place and another 10 minutes of work before it would cut paper. Once that happened the knife was perfect, I was just a bit surprised and disappointed that this one snuck out the door of the buck factory essentially as an unfinished item

 Like it's big brother, the 55 is superb workmanship, and incredibly sharp. It's very lightweight, but also striking in simplicity and beauty. I find myself not wanting to have this in my pocket everyday, but on occasion, so as not to age it too quickly, but then again, at only around $30, it's easily replaced. I can't say this any more positively than this: If you need a single blade, locking pocket knife, sharp enough to skin deer or whatever, buy this knife! You will love it!

I like the knife, however fit and finish on the scales could be better. The blade arrived with a burr, almost seems like they didn't finish sharpening it.

36 ounces, so now that i've talked a little bit about the blade, let's get into what i'm going to be changing now, the client has sent this to me he's a supporter of the channel, which is awesome, and he wanted Me to customize this form, so first will be the scale i'll be getting rid of the blue g10 here and using some aluminum that way, it'll keep the weight down. Just like this g10 is. I don't want to make the knife much heavier. The retention ring here will also be made out of aluminum and then once everything is customized, i've noticed the blade here is stone washed, but everything else is not so once everything is finished, i'm going to give it a nice stone wash all the way around and That'S pretty much all the touches i will be doing to this e train, so i'm going to be taking this thing apart

 On the original scale, i gave it a nice stone wash just to match the uh, the new aluminum scale. It had a smooth finish and i just wanted it to match the blade since the blade. That was really the only thing that was stone washed and the client was saying he wanted everything to match. So that's what i did with the aluminum scale as well, and i think it just looks better and if it gets beat up again, the scratches won't be as noticeable and good thing with the aluminum scale

 I put this thing in my jeans and gave it a few test runs and it works really really well once you get it down, it even worked really well in my basketball shorts. So that's just a really really neat function. Overall, i just really like this blade for just being a trainer i'll just run some really quick specs on this thing, the trainer blade is a 3 cr13 blade, the blade length is 3 inches, the handle length is four and a half inches and with the retention Ring it's five and five eighths and the overall length of this thing is eight and seven eighths. It'S got a blue g10 handle and it's semi-grippy

Kershaw 6034 Emerson Trainer(E-Train)Karambit Pocket Knife/Customized(Knathan's Knives)

This is an easy fix. All you need to do is use a needle file (pictured here a cheap hobby diamond file) and make a small grove in the retention hole of the blade along the track that the ball in the frame lock follows. Took me less than 5 minutes, and probably could have been done without taking the blade out (though I did remove the blade to make it easier). A little bit goes a long way, and after a minor touch-up, it opens just fine with your thumb

This trainer is sturdy, well built, and attention is paid to a lot of the details that are missed on a lot of cheaper trainers. Everything operates smoothly, and all of the edges that might catch during training are rounded (this is not the case with cheaper trainers).

It'S i think it's called the e train or the model number 60 34 trainer, and so i'm getting interested in a smaller knife, defense stuff, it's more specifically a libre fighting method and so working with smaller knives, folding knives to explode and stuff

 You know you're trying to mimic that stress method by drawing this out quickly and getting it into action now. The reason why i want to review this knife is for its price. If you get a spiral, co, endura, training knife - i think it's going to be around 80 to 90 bucks, depending where you find it emerson. I think, cost a little bit more and um

Kershaw Emerson training knife

I bought this as a less-expensive alternative to the actual Emerson-branded trainers that Emerson sells, and you get what you pay for. Unfolded, the weight and general feel are nice, and the handle design is comfortable, and your index finger tucks neatly into the finger choil. (It's a nicer shape than that of my actual Mini CQC-7.) But I can't recommend this trainer, for two reasons:

) At the very least, the clip side needs to be anodized blue if they're going to stick with the one-piece metal design, but grips on both sides and a thinner liner on the clip side would be better.
