Brother MFC-J4335DW vs Canon PIXMA TS3520

The MFC-J4335DW offers exceptional speed and capability for the total cost of ownership. If your scanning needs are minimal enough that you don't need an ADF, and you also don't print much, the Brother MFC-J1205W offers a low enough cost per page that you might want to consider it for its lower initial price, or you might consider the Epson XP-4100 for its focus on photos and photo quality. Alternatively, if you must have at least manual duplexing for scanning, consider the Epson WF-3820. But the Brother MFC-J4335DW hits the Goldilocks' zone for enough features to make it our Editors' Choice for light duty inkjet AIO for personal to micro office use

OEM Black cartridges (XL or regular) very expensive ($30 per) and not available anywhere on the planet at any price at the moment—even direct from Canon. For now, I have a doorstop/scanner. Won't make the Canon mistake again. Update

If you don't intend to print that many photos, it's still a good choice if you're on a budget and want something with wireless connectivity. It's also one of the best inkjet printers we've tested.

Wireless installation sucked, use a USB cable, go to CANNON USA. Load drivers from there an you're good. However haven't been able to access printer preferences so when a print job is sent to device it's woken up.

That Brother is the best bang for your buck. My home printer is a Brother MFC inkjet and it's been going strong for about 8 years. It's a quality brand.

But keep in mind that these and most other bulk-ink AIOs cost three to five times more than their cartridge-based counterparts, and they're good values only if you print several hundred or a thousand-plus pages and photos per month. The more you print, the better the bargain.
