Brother MFC-J1010DW vs Brother MFC-J1205W

This copier is super for such a low price the best thing for me is that is as fast as a $400 printer my wife has, for her work! Software set up is EZ I had a hard time buying one of these as is new out, so speed and and EZ set u are key for me in such a basic price

It uses Brother's INKvestment Tank, a hybrid tank–cartridge system, which produces over 1,000 black-only pages, and over 700 color pages before needing replacing. Thanks to its high page yields, its cost-per-print is extremely low, saving you money in the long run.

I understand it comes with some, but trust in this. You will need to order more black ink very quickly

The biggest selling point with this pick is that you can print thousands of pages before the ink runs out. It's a plus when you already need to pay for tuition and books. The quality of the pictures is absolutely perfect. I really like that this is all in one printer. The printer allows you to mobile print, it allows you to double side print which is a major plus and the ISO print speed is up to 17 ppm black and up to 9.5 ppm color

Printed photos look decent, and the accuracy of colors is acceptable for casual use. The connectivity options are satisfactory, including Apple AirPrint and Mopria Print Service, and you can use the refreshed Brother Mobile Connect app to print, scan, copy, and perform maintenance tasks.

I am having problems with the machine staying connected to my wireless internet. Now, whether this is my machine's issue or the internet service, I don't know. Except my last brother multi function machine never had that issue. Another issue is the paper tray paper catcher doesn't always catch the printed paper

I am distinctly Unhappy with the wireless printing. I was unable to get the mobile app on my cell connected, which is disappointing. Any documents or photos have to be uploaded to print from my computer. Additionally, each time I needed to print from my laptop, I had to reboot the printer and/or router

The ink cartridges is different than other printers I've used before but also was easy figuring out, there is ink included with the printer. You can also fax on this but I can honestly say I have not used that part. Scans and prints fabulously! The display is nice! Nice sized with nice light. I think it's a pretty good printer that's a step up above your average one

The printer produces good output but with the limited selections during printer setup this thing drinks the ink more than I drink beer. My wife wanted a printer at our vacation place to create her projects, one where she could print beyond traditional boundaries but the borderless selection that allows this automatically puts the printer in high quality photo mode and kills your ink cartridges fast. Wouldn't be so bad but Brother only makes the cartridges with a tiny amount of ink and charges a ridiculous price. In the eight days we've had the printer I've already ordered ink in excess of the cost of the printer itself

..what an improvement over an Epson WF2760! Quieter, faster, and doesn't constantly drop the wi-fi connection
