Breville Smart Oven vs Oster Designed for Life TSSTTVDFL2 6-Slice

I don't normally review purchases, but the stated interior dimensions are so wrong that I thought I should as a service to others. The Breville Smart Oven I just purchased arrived on time, undamaged, and ran through one heating cycle perfectly. Quality appears good relative to price. Time will tell how well it performs on different foods and through the years

In fact, the temperature seems to stay constant when cooking compared to the old one I had. I miss that the old one turned the light off once it was preheated. This one seems to keep the temperature constant and the light is on the entire time while cooking. It does get hot if you touch the stainless steel parts, but that’s to be expected and I wouldn’t trade it for an all black one as I like how it looks

As a single person, the Breville toaster oven is a great buy for me. I bake my bread and pizza in there, and haven't used my regular oven for years.

I guess we will see. Lastly, I went to Target directly. This unit was on sale, but out of stock in the whole metro area. Unfortunately their website did not support the sale price

I don't use a veggie steamer or griddle pan ever. I have tried and hated crock pots and instant pots - it just makes all food mushy to me but I also don't eat meat. I prefer to make everything on my stove top.

Best to use Parchment Paper instead of foil on the pan that comes with it as foil increases the temperature. I like the 60 min timer which is longer than others. The large knobs and readable words are helpful for this older gal. Overall I am happy with it and will update again later after using it for awhile

The oven and many of its accessories are temporarily sold out at the Amazon Warehouse and even at the manufacturer's website. The going price right for this model is about $399 when in stock, so don't be tempted by Amazon storefront sellers who may charge a lot more

I can see myself using this for many items that don't do so well in the microwave but the main reason I wanted one was for baking biscuits which it does beautifully. It looks nice on the counter and doesn't take up too much space which is a plus. I can't speak about the longevity factor of this one but I can tell you that after a great deal of reading reviews of other models and brands that NONE of them are perfect. Even the high end models seem to have plenty of premature failures

Can anybody recommend an air fryer toaster oven that is fast like an air fryer basket but big enough to toast at least two pieces of bread?

Obviously one cannot fit 1 12 in. anything in it and it comes with 1 rack and 1 small broiler pan and a crumb tray. 9 in. by 13 in pan will not fit

Now I read all the reviews and this was consumer reports rated best toaster oven so we could possibly have just a model that went bad, but dealing with the company’s product support policies, it makes me feel like a misplaced $400 purchase. We use our toaster oven in place of an oven, we use it to toast, broil, bake, air fry. We have use this toaster oven for almost all our cooking needs, and gradually over one year of ownership, as you can see in the pictures, the toaster oven cooking unevenly. I called Breville’s product support, very nice employee, but could tell by the one hour hold time that their customer support is not getting any support themselves from the company

It seems to be increasingly difficult to find a decently-priced Oster toaster oven now that the market has shifted to the air-fry $120-plus models. This one here does everything you need but it likely won't fit that small casserole/ lasagna Pyrex dish that you're used to using. Also, to save on shipping apparently, this is an open-box item that gets repacked and repackaged. Workers at the fulfillment center would do well to where gloves when handling as plenty of odd fingerprints were apparent all over the toaster oven

It all feels so substantial! The little details are abounding. The base is super skid proof. The rack at level: 3/4 will automatically come out when the door is opened (via magnets) You can adjust the sound/volume of the beep/alerts and even turn the beeps off if you wish. Things are marked for you on the glass door what tray level is best for what task

2. Good space on top of oven (I use this for keeping plates warm, heated food warm, so the toaster ovens with minimum space on top don't work well for me).

. There is a design flaw in this oven that puts one at a huge disadvantage if placed on a higher shelf, which I initially did, above my microwave. The door opens top to bottom

The look of this is very sleek, and nice. It goes well on our countertop. It is still fairly new, but seems to work well. I think there have been a few goes that I underestimated the power, though
