As a single person, the Breville toaster oven is a great buy for me. I bake my bread and pizza in there, and haven't used my regular oven for years.

I just received my BOV650XL oven and I must say I have higher standards than some of the other gushers here. However, the things that bothered me might matter less to others so I provide the detail below. What's with the $229 list price that Amazon gives? Breville lists it at $179. Cons: 1

I don't normally review purchases, but the stated interior dimensions are so wrong that I thought I should as a service to others. The Breville Smart Oven I just purchased arrived on time, undamaged, and ran through one heating cycle perfectly. Quality appears good relative to price. Time will tell how well it performs on different foods and through the years

Can anybody recommend an air fryer toaster oven that is fast like an air fryer basket but big enough to toast at least two pieces of bread?

I have no opinion as to how well it actually toasts, or bakes, or broils, or cooks pizza, or deals with frozen food because i never did any of those things. I just returned it. If you have the required clearances, and don't intend to place it under an overhanging cabinet, this may be the perfect toaster oven I was hoping for. Just be aware of how much counter space you'll need for it -- much more than its footprint

It all feels so substantial! The little details are abounding. The base is super skid proof. The rack at level: 3/4 will automatically come out when the door is opened (via magnets) You can adjust the sound/volume of the beep/alerts and even turn the beeps off if you wish. Things are marked for you on the glass door what tray level is best for what task

- The oven has cheap plastic controls. I wonder how long they will hold up. - The typefaces on the controls is way too small and thin! Forget it if you are older. This could have been fixed not only on the silkscreening on the unit but also on the LED screen, if only it SHOWED the name of the mode the unit is in! - The crumb tray does not lock or click in and easily slides out just with an oven mitt brushing it or moving the unit out from a wall

Now I read all the reviews and this was consumer reports rated best toaster oven so we could possibly have just a model that went bad, but dealing with the company’s product support policies, it makes me feel like a misplaced $400 purchase. We use our toaster oven in place of an oven, we use it to toast, broil, bake, air fry. We have use this toaster oven for almost all our cooking needs, and gradually over one year of ownership, as you can see in the pictures, the toaster oven cooking unevenly. I called Breville’s product support, very nice employee, but could tell by the one hour hold time that their customer support is not getting any support themselves from the company

The dimensions are spacious enough to heat a roast or medium size pizza while making easier to clean. The included broiling rack is firmer and sturdier than racks in other toaster ovens I looked at. The enamel baking pan has the same sturdy quality as the broiling rack and is also slightly deeper than other pans. The ability to remove the crumb tray without opening the glass door is a nice touch

I don't use a veggie steamer or griddle pan ever. I have tried and hated crock pots and instant pots - it just makes all food mushy to me but I also don't eat meat. I prefer to make everything on my stove top.

We needed a 2nd one for a 2nd location so I figured it was time to move my current one to the second location and gamble on a new one. My positive experience with the microwave made me much more willing to do so. The Breville does not disappoint, it heats, cooks, broils, toasts everything so much better than my old one. The feature of the bamboo tray on top (purchased separately) is wonderful
