 Let's start with the top, let's start with the right this time as well. Let's be funky, let's mix it up. The right is the mode knob, this guy has seven reverbs built in and one sneaky delay sound. The reverbs are much later delays, hall dyes, brooms, springs, dynamic delays, shimmers and that might be seven

Like most boss products, superior build quality that I expect this to be a reliable pedal like the rest of my boss pedals. I don't need 12 different reverb settings. I like boss pedals because they're easy to operate, especially in low light environments. I find them to be more practical while gigging than other niche brands that are considered cooler

 So let's take a closer look at it. So taking a closer look at the RV6, it's fairly easy to work out what's going on really. You've got an effects level knob, that adjusts the volume of the reverb sound. You've got your tone level, that adjusts the tone and colour of the reverb

 You've got output jacks here to allow you to send it to two separate amps, and just to give you an overview of that today, I'm sending it to left and right on the DAW. You've got the beastly BOSS typical pedal switch here, that we're all familiar with. You've got your time dial, that adjusts the length of time of the reverb sound. And then you've got the mode knobs, and that selects the reverb effect mode

 That's three more than the RV5, which was the previous version of this pedal. Yes, they include standard reverb types like the ones found in the RV5, but in addition to that we get three more new types, including delay, dynamics and the amazing shimmer mode.  This is one, I got to say, for a lot of the shimmer reverbs and speaking as a guy who used to be very, very intimate with one of the best shimmer reverb makers on the market today, still stand by that statement. This one is pretty damn good. It's not quite there. You Short and bright long and dark this one I really really like it's got a nice sort of swell into those upper Octaves, it doesn't get too Out of hand in the high end because a lot of other shimmer reverbs
