 So if you're on V1 or you want sorry and then you want to move that to a different patch number, you hit them both together, exchange it for what number you want and you're good to go. You can pretty much change everything in anything here.  This serves two purposes. The first is a USB interface. So you can actually use the tones from the Boss GT1 directly into your recording software and use all of the tones that you've created. Secondly it allows you to log on to the Boss Tone Central website and download artist presets from their libraries into the unit so you can use them for your own gigs or purposes

 So that is one of many programmable effects that you can change and add into the control or assign to the expression pedal, and funnily enough there is on the back of the unit there's an out for more expression pedals, with another expression pedal I should say, and another control as well, so allowing maximum customisation of your sound.  Also looper function is not super convenient, but is still nice to have. Compared to my old zoom pedal this does not have any drum machine function, but does allow you change the order that the effects are arranged in (i.e. can change the order so that its OD -> FX1 -> guitar or FX1 -> OD -> guitar)  Overall 4 stars because of some minor annoyances and problems, but very sturyd, well designed pedal with tons of options for the price

 There are very few presets available and there is not a community webpage where people can uplaod presets which is unfortunate. Volume pedal seems good and responsive so far after about 3 months, but occassionally does squeak upon pressing it down.  one aesthetic con that annoys me is that there is no off switch. I dont want to leave my pedal on all the time so i constantly have to unplug the power source from the pedal which is annoying
