Boker Plus Strike Automatic Knife Review

A tube JW the new auto knife and I'm going to show you guys budget Auto from Volker plus cut this knife in a trade a week ago the know if it came with a boxer and I didn't when I got it. but I've been carrying it for several days. three or four days to get a feel for it and I really like it As you know I really like budget automatic knives. A figure that would show you guys is the poker plus strike auto tanto see they're partially serrated

 All this is off eight deal very ergonomic knife reversible pocket clips it's just right side cherry there is on the tip up configuration. Overall length is 7.8 blade like this three over three phosphate stealing is tanto blade flat, grind, partially serrated with the black finish. The handles are made of a little nice texturing and grip pocket clip is good

 and I think this is one of those centering out-of-the-box stainless steel liners jumping like that pattern. Overall the knife. The knife has a nice solid feel to it. It doesn't you know it's not clunky, it just feels like a quality piece

95 so it's definitely right in the great price range of about $40 for a solid everyday carry. Now these knives which everybody is familiar with sorry clip sheared a little bed is kind of a pain with these clips on here, but I just wanted I've had this for a bot hold on all four years or so and I've gotten some of these for other people as gifts and stuff and they've used it a lot more than I've used up somewhere in these Fokker Kalashnikov autos which have basically the same design as these push-button Budget automatic. These are just great knives. They last for a very very long time

Boker Plus Strike Tanto Auto Knife (01BO401N)

 I could have used some sort of clamp rig to get it to stay seated while I I screwed it in which I’ll do next time.  4/5 stars for me. My advice would be to redesign the bottom of the emblem to a star shape that fits into a star shaped groove of the handle. You can keep the circular emblem by making the star shape protrude from the bottom and cut deeper into the handle to retain it

 The problem here was that the emblem seats into the composite handle and only a small indentation on the handle seats a small lip on the bottom of the emblem which has to be perfectly lined up and pressed inwards with a lot of force in order to tighten the screw enough to clamp the knife tight and engage the bearings. I was able to get it back in but only after troubleshooting and jimmy rigging a system together where I could put the weight of my body on the knife by stepping on it and have a piece of rubber underneath to grip the emblem so the emblem doesn’t slip out of the grove while tightening. I could have used some sort of clamp rig to get it to stay seated while I I screwed it in which I’ll do next time.  4/5 stars for me

 I only have one complaint and it’s kind of a big one for me. First week of owning it I dropped it in a pile of dry dirt. I blew it clean but small dirt particles got stuck between the blade. When opening the blade it made it stick a little so it wasn’t a quick open anymore and every time upon opening you can hear the dirt particles wedged between the blade and the tracks scraping and grinding

Wish I could take it apart

 The liners are not inletted into the scales which is to be expected at this price point but the liners are skeletonized and this reduces weight. The knife is thin enough for comfortable pocket carry, 0.52" across the scales per my dial calipers, carry is tip up only but reversible for either right or left hand, the pocket clip is positioned for deeeeep carry and the knife weighs 4.45 ozs per my Escali digital scale

The action on mine is silky smooth. The stainless blade steel, 9Cr18MoV, is similar in composition to 440C so it's easy to sharpen. The edges of the scales feature a nice smooth radius. The grind is full flat not hollow ground, but the blade is thin, less than 1/8" at the spine so there is little resistance when slicing

A Lot of Bang for the Buck

 I’ve been packing it for months with severe use. Several camping trips, use at work and it’s held up amazing. It’s a super good quality blade for the money and I’ll be packing these from now on and leaving my others in the safe.

 I followed every direction or suggestion to try to get this rubber grip installed. It was impossible. I tried the cutting plastic tabs from the case which I highly DO NOT recommend as you might want to return it as I was on the brink of doing. I boiled it in water, used a hair dryer and nothing was working

Once on it is great

 DON'T SKIP THAT STEP, otherwise you will likely tear the grip. Then I used a hair drier to strategically heat up spots as I went along I was able to slowly work the grip on the the pistol. I didn't use Windex for a lubricant like the instructions tell you to do. The whole operation took me 20-30 minutes

Yes, I know this was advertised for the M&P Shield. But in the fine print it's also the right size for a Walther PPS M1. The PPS M1 is a good gun with one quibble, the grip is not great. I was skeptical but the price was right

 Time will tell how it holds up. I will circle back to this review and up date if I run in to any problems.

 The feel in my hand was flawless but knowing that the tear was there made me destroy it and purchase the talon grip instead. Maybe I should have boiled the hell out of the grip instead of following the instructions. Not a bad price though.

 There'S a nice swedge up here. It'S a good, looking blade, pretty straightforward. The grinds are not perf like it's kind of like. Oh it's wider

 At this point, uh says k320a and it says hogue, usa, cpm s30v and i think there's some and there's a code is that a code? Okay, it doesn't need to have all that stuff all over the blade. But it's there. So, okay, i'm gon na guess that this is a cerakote. In any case, it looks really really good
