Positives: with most of the weight in the back and the light itself being very light, this thing stays put! Which is great for night runs. I love the adjustability of the brightness and I had no issue with the battery life. The adjustability of the straps is great, it is pretty easy to get a nice snug fit.

Amazing Headlamp, not designed for Women

Based on these experiences, I would never opt to take this on a backpacking or other overnight outdoor adventure. I will definitely try it for running (it is called the sprinter, after all) as our nights fall earlier and for skiing when the snow falls. I expect it to perform well enough for those activities--which is why I titled this review "a one trick pony."

 I have not tried the headlamp yet with those activities; I make the judgement based on my less than satisfactory experience using it in other activities.

 I have worn it on multiple evening runs now and the illumination is great and I love the ability to use batteries or recharge. The battery life is more than sufficient for my distance but I'm not an ultra runner so I'm not sure on the longevity yet. I loved the red lamp on the back for safety. Great feature

 The main downside is that this is not super lightweight given the rather bulky & heavy rear light, so this would not be my first choice headlamp model for backpacking trips.

Great right angle flashlight

 Not only that, but you could certainly hold it. Hold it like this and use it as a standard. Flashlight, but the number one thing that i don't like about other headlamps, that i've reviewed with the pocket clip is that you always have to take the pocket clip off to be able to connect it to the headlamps strap. And this is the first light that you don't have to do that, and that is absolutely amazing for me, so this headlamp uh bracket here actually has a cutout so that you can place the headlamp directly in the clip and still have your pocket clip on there

 So if you're, looking for a nice, 18650 headlamp, something that's comfortable on the head, something that is going to have the extra run time of an 18650 versus a double a a or a uh, a cr123, and something that has the fantastic capability of clipping right into That bracket mount without having to remove that pocket, clip and being able to quickly switch between headlamp mode and just standard flashlight mode and being able to clip that and slip it in your pocket or being able to hook it onto a pack. This is a really cool option to look at again. They have several different versions of this that have different uh lighting, but i like the tier optics that give me the flood again, just a really heavy duty, light that you're not going to probably be able to destroy while out working or out on the trail again Headlamps like this are really good for not only just camping applications, maybe not the best for ultra light backpacking, because it does have some weight to it versus some of the ultralight options out there. But i did take it backpacking uh this past weekend and it worked just fine for me and i liked having those extra features like the location, uh, finder and also just the different brightness levels
