 One of the druthers I have is that there's not a whole lot of support but what I've found out is that the inserts actually do come out so if you need a little bit more support with your shoes you can remove those and buy some good inserts to give your foot more support. As you're hiking through the boulder fields. The other thing is my feet got a little bit cold when the temperatures were below 40 degrees and that could just be me but even hiking in with some thick socks my feet were a little cold but above 40 degrees really not a lot of issues. I know the material is supposed to be pretty breathable so for those spring or early fall boulder sessions it is kind of nice to make sure your foot is going to be breathing and not having a whole lot of sweat smell build up in there

 They are the city version so they're not hefty and supportive like you would get with a hiking boot but a little bit more sleek and stylish like you would get with a regular street shoe so leave a comment if you'd like let us know what you think and thanks for watching.

The La Sportiva TX4 is a fantastic choice for big wall climbing or when you need to carry big loads. These shoes are comfortable for hiking and standing all day, and they climb well enough for low-5th class terrain and alpine scrambling. 
They aren't the best climbing shoes on the market, and their heavy weight makes them a poor choice for carrying up and over multi-pitch routes where weight is a concern. Comfort is most important. Comfortable boots will let you enjoy your hikes and get you out there more often. Try on several brands, styles, and models. As for brands, I would recommend LA Sportiva,  Merrell, Keen, Salomon,  Vasque, and Asolo

Suggestions for hiking boots

 They're durable, they're really good with grip, they're very comfortable because of the white toe boxes here. I don't get blisters, La Sportiva TX4 Approach shoes. My new go-to shoe, highly recommended. My new go-to shoes

 Not so much with these shoes, this shoe is great, I don't get blisters, I don't have to tape up my feet before I go on a trip and they're very comfortable. They keep me walking for a long time. I like pretty much everything about these shoes except for one thing, it's probably the laces. You can see here they're starting to come apart a bit and they're going to break in several places soon

 So these shoes have replaced trail runners for me but also hiking boots. They're very comfortable on my foot, my foot tends to have problem with getting blisters in places over here and maybe the big toe and always have trouble with my heels. Not so much with these shoes, this shoe is great, I don't get blisters, I don't have to tape up my feet before I go on a trip and they're very comfortable. They keep me walking for a long time

Got these as my daily driver for approaches up the stairs at work to my office. Looks sharp. Makes me feel like I’m on the verge of something epic, even if it’s just a trip to jimmy johns. Am pretty happy

Nice shoe, runs a bit warm.

 This is the Brown Beer Company, apparently a new Christchurch beer company and this is an English style ale which is an English style bitter and it's quite nice. I don't have a glass so I can't show you the colour but brown as you expect. It's five percent, quite hoppy, a little bit fruity actually, a little bit light actually, quite tasty. Anyhow, that's the Brown Beer Company, look them up here in Christchurch, the English style ale

 It's a lever upper, really good, really strong, I quite like the fact there's no eyelets in it as well, so there's nothing really to go wrong in terms of laces breaking. It's wrapped around the lace through that cord there. Also again, great shock absorbency in the back and it's got Sportiva's impact braking system there, where the lugs are a little bit off centre on the back, which gives you a bit more braking protection when you're going downhill. I can say they've been absolutely belting shoes indeed

 Right, okay, it's got a Vibram Mega Grip sole, let's translate that into something we can all understand. Basically, it's a really soft rubber sole which basically means it's really good on rock, especially on wet rock as well. These have been my badger walking shoe of choice for the last two months, if you look at this, these have been used nearly every day for two months and get that bit of tape off them. Not much wear and tear, they've been absolutely fantastic and they've been up and round the porthills everywhere and they've been really good, really good on wet rock, I've been super stoked with that sole unit

Amazing hiking shoes

 I find it really comfortable. It works really well. It's got a pretty normal lacing system with this sort of strange adjustable loop thing that pulls the yellow strings. The loop on the back for attaching it to your harness, that's great for an approach shoe, means you can take it with you easily

 The only real complaint I can think of is the looks of it and for a lot of people I think they'd quite like the technical look. For me I think it's a bit like my dad's shoes rather than something that I'd wear at the pub. But that's alright.

 They're pretty sticky, they fit my feet nice and securely. If I was gonna go and approach a climb with an Arangina I would recommend these approach shoes to you instead of Flip-Flops. How did they get across this last time? In reality, butterfingers aside, obviously approach shoes are better for approaching than Flip-Flops. So I actually really like this shoe

 We're here in Sicily with La Sportiva's TX4 approach shoe. The first thing that I noticed about it is that the shape of it is foot shaped. So it's nice and wide across the front rather than being pointy which makes it really comfortable. I was really impressed with the fit as soon as I put them on
