 Welcome to our 2023 product reviews Right this here is the black rose mirror score 2023 I've been waiting a long time to get on a pair of these We had them in the store the 22 version last year But unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to test it out and they sold out before I could even grab myself a pair So very excited to get on these and I was not disappointed black roses come up with something completely different There's not many skis on the market that are like this. Okay, so what's it aimed for? It's 97 87 mil underfoot I'm sorry, and it's aimed for carving on the piste, but it's a blend into freeride So if you want to be have something that rapidly carves on the piste, you could rip around resort No problem, but you want to dive off into some side country. This is the tool for you. We're talking hand rags We're talking big smiles on the face and it's all done by this huge great big side cut So if you have a look here, you can see the shape of the ski Lots and lots of width at the tip nice and narrow in the middle lots of width on the tail Okay, combine that with Rocker on the tail rocker on the tip and a tiny bit of camber underfoot You bank this on its edge and it just carves like a dream flex of the ski

 It's not particularly stiff But I found it on sort of like hard icy conditions It's still really bitten really well, so you didn't feel like it was floppy or soft in any way But it's nice and easy to flex So it doesn't take a lot of power to charge and to put it on its edge. You'll notice unique design of this This sort of cutout tail in the end here does a couple of things one it throws Powder up into your friends behind if they're trying to follow you Secondly, it is for looks if you watch any of the videos about this online from From the guys who designed it they freely admit it is purely for looks Lot of skis that have this sort of split tail are very soft in the end.  For me, they lacked edge hold and stability on the early season man-made snow. I would like to try them in powder or off piste freshies. Overall, I would recommend these to someone lighter weight, or a little less aggressive.

Good for someone looking for a playful, unique ski.

 I've really enjoyed skiing on this today. It's a Black Crows, Mirror's Core. I nearly forgot what it was called then.

 It's not particularly stiff, it's quite easy to turn because of the rockered tip, and it just looks great and feels great. It's also got this swallow tail on the bottom there. The swallow tail has absolutely no purpose whatsoever other than to look really cool. It is £720 price point without bindings, so it is a higher price point for a piece ski, but you know what? It just feels and looks really good

 Short radius turns on these, really easy, really grippy, really responsive. It's got a popular wood core running through it. It's not particularly stiff, it's quite easy to turn because of the rockered tip, and it just looks great and feels great. It's also got this swallow tail on the bottom there

 This is quite a long ski, but actually when you ski it, it doesn't feel long at all. In fact, it's super responsive. Short radius turns on these, really easy, really grippy, really responsive. It's got a popular wood core running through it

Instead of having to pack a ski for groomers and a ski for powder days, the Nordica provides you with an all-in-one option. The Santa Ana 98 performed particularly well in the crud, staying stiff enough to punch through anything the mountain threw at it. It also floats well in powder, feels stable at high speeds, can carve a mean arc, and pivots easily around a mogul field.

That said, it took us everywhere we wanted to go at the resort and handled every snow condition, so there's something to be said for dependability.  98 is a very happy medium, fantastic color weight, beautiful beautiful, looking ski nordica's nailed it again: um great ski [, Music, ], [, Music ]. You 

 Love really completes that turn really drives into the turn. I like that. A lot um 98 underfoot for norway, perfect yeah it'll, give you a little bit of float uh when there is some snow today we have hard pack - and this was this - is perfect. Um so again, don't be afraid to go a little bit longer in a ski

 It'S got like the metal sheets that i quite like, because it gives a lot of stability. It'S poppy, it's pivoty, it's fun, um fabulous, didn't feel too much at all on this uh groom. These groomed conditions here at northway we're getting really hard packed. So the edges were fantastic made

 Like this you're losing some of the ski in the tip and tail with that twin profile, it's nice transfer of energy, it's fun all around 98 is a fantastic width. The 165 length is really good for my um stature. I think i don't know if i'd go. Any longer jf, i don't think i'd go shorter

NORDICA SANTA ANA 98 | 2021 SKI TEST

 Rather than a high speed tool for strong skiers, this feels more suited to being an everyday ski for intermediates, but at a price point most skiers would be happy with. And that trickle-down graphic from the more freeride-focussed models does make for genuine good looks and rack appeal.
