 When you're done juicing. simply lift up the strainer straight up and lift up the container and you've got your juice. This lime juice has very little pulp in it. I'll pour this into my cup from the two limes

 The container just sits on the base. The strainer does come apart for cleaning, just match the tab to the slot here and it pushes right in. The strainer sits right on top of the base with the tab on the handle. The small cone fits right in the middle and the large cone has these slots that fit right over the tabs in the small cone and it just pops up if you want to remove it

 Wash all the part with warm soapy water, rinse and dry. We'll see how this unit handles lemons, limes, or and grapefruit. Let's go ahead and test the unit. Plug it in first

 As for clean up the container, strainer cones cover everything is top rack dishwasher safe, but I Do recommend just washing everything out by hand right after juicing. Otherwise, all the stuff will get stuck and dry and if it does, just use a brush to scrub it off of the strainer. the base can be wiped down with a damp cloth. It is easy to pour the juice out of the container and there are no drips

I bought this model juicer as the previous model that I had from Black and Decker for about 6 years chipped a plastic piece that held the juicer section in place. This model is similar with some improvements in the overall design however it is WAY LOUDER than the previous model. I'm not sure if mine is defective or not but it produces quality juice.

Juicer To The Rescue

It's a good juicer but it's very loud!  If I could change one thing about it, I would engineer it to be quieter.

  Cleaning was a breeze, and at the risk of sounding like I'm bragging compared to other users who spoke about cleaning, I didn't have any difficulty separating the strainer pieces. The trick is to push in the tabs on the bottom side and carefully pry it apart.  So yeah, TL;DR - there are one or two minor improvements that could be made, but ultimately I feel like it was worth the price I paid for it.

 It turns out that the motor has an overheat cutout that shuts down. After unplugging and waiting and hour, it works again. None of this obviates the need for a stronger motor. And my first juicer failed completely

 The machine is very easy to clean. All of the pieces are easy to remove and you just rinse them under the faucet. It takes a little more than a minute to clean the machine - it's amazingly well designed. 5

 It's very quick. It will juice two orange halves (a whole orange) in about 5-7 seconds. 2. Because the center of the juicer is powered and rotates, it takes very little effort to operate

 It takes just three oranges to get approximately 16 ounces of juice. 4. The machine is very easy to clean. All of the pieces are easy to remove and you just rinse them under the faucet

 I'd also ask for a way to attach the receiving container so it can't slip away. I'd ask for it somehow to take up less storage space. I'd ask it to grind the pump a bit so as to get more in the juice. OK, while I'm at it, I'd ask for it to cut the fruit and put it on the reamer for me, then take out the garbage

 (A third hand would help.) It may leave a bit of pulp in the rind, but very little juice gets left. The machine stays in place on the counter.  If I were looking for perfection, I'd ask for a larger reamer for grapefruit

 I'd ask it to grind the pump a bit so as to get more in the juice. OK, while I'm at it, I'd ask for it to cut the fruit and put it on the reamer for me, then take out the garbage. ;-)  I occasionally see the question of whether it can juice anything but citrus. No, it can't

I have two other citrus juicers, including one with a handle, and a Cusinart I just got which has no handle. The Breville costs way more than the Cuisinar ($24)t, and probably doesn't juice much better than the Big Boss ($116), but the Breville feels so much better to operate, a superior experience, intangible advantages, like an expensive sports car. I'll keep the Big Boss as an emergency back-up, but the Cuisinart, no handle, is strictly for those who don't care about giving their palm an uncomfortable work-out, or who think it's not worth the dough to get a handle juicer.

A superior juicing experience

I had another citrus juicer that required I press down hard while the juicer spun around. I make a pitcher of juice at a time (we have a lot of citrus trees) and after a while my wrists and hands would ache. I don't have arthritis, it just required consistent, long-held pressure to extract the juice. Plus, it was noisy - couldn't listen to music or watch tv while juicing

 It got to where I didn't want to make juice. I had finally had it and went looking for another juicer and found this Breville model. Wow! What a difference. It's very quiet and FAST

 Wow! What a difference. It's very quiet and FAST. Whoosh, Whoosh, and the orange, grapefruit, lime is DONE! It's actually FUN! The handle makes juicing a very comfortable process and there's something so satisfying about watching the juice pour out of the little spout. The strainer and juice-catcher below it are much larger than my previous model so I don't have to flush it out as often - so the overall time it takes to juice 20 oranges has gone way down
