 The double edge blades make it a lot less expensive ($0.30 or less per blade) to use a new sharp blade every time I shave. The handle is longer than some less expensive models making it easier to hold and shave with. The style and design is quite soffisticated and contemporary for a safety razor

I do not need to use the other products included in the shave system. While I am disappointed that in my youth I threw away the safety razors that had been given to me for the twin blade dosposables; I am a new fan of safety razors. Nice Safety Razor

No amount of prep will help you avoid being cut every time you use this product unless you can truly say you have the most flawless skin under the hair your shaving

Best Razor for Men - GearLab

 Overall, I enjoyed this shaving experience as it was definitely more nostalgic with the razor blades and the different products for my face both pre-and post shave. I really liked the weight of the razor itself as I found that it was very easy to get a very smooth shave. What I wasn't a fan of was how slick the razor got when it ( my hands) got wet. Am thinking as much as the smooth and sleek silver design is very cool, it was very slippery and perhaps some type of contoured handle would be in order

I agreed to provide an unbiased review of this razor in exchange for the free sample of this Bevel Razor. This is a bit tricky as there were some features that I liked and some I didn't. Nostalgic Shaving System

 This has been my default shaving method for most of my adult life. Also this is a review of the Bevel razor, not their blades, brushes, cream, or system. I thought the razor was marketing hype and that all safety razors are essentially the same. I've been using an Edwin Jagger DE89 for over a decade

 The Bevel blades are mediocre and dull quickly, I'm using Gillette Blues in it instead. The Bevel brand DE blades are overpriced for what they are, just regular DE blades, nothing special. I think a lot of the positive reviews here are from people moving from cartridge shaving to wet shaving with a DE safety razor, and it is superior. There isn't anything special about Bevel compared to other DE safety razors

 I took the razor blade from my current Jagger and put it in the Bevel. I immediately noticed that the shave was closer, and yet there was more skin left on my face (less razor burn). I was amazed that it was noticeably more precise and comfortable. I needed fewer passes to shave myself

 Most safety razors have squared off sides with a bit of the unsharpened blade edge exposed, so it's easier to pick up and change the blade. The handle is also skinny and slick. Once again, very easy to drop, hard to keep a grip. For something that will always be held with wet soapy hands, this is a terrible design

Almost Perfect, Flaws Are Very Serious Though

Still finding the best blade to pair with the razor. It’s great for any one that gets irritation from shaving and provides a pretty smooth shave. The best part is probably the long handle.

Lovely Razor

-I am happy with the new price point, it is a simple, theraputic and worthwhile investment for your face. -The product is beautiful, well weighted and most important: the single razor works very simply -I found shaving to less mysterious of a process than I thought -It's important for the user to know the grain of their facial hair, and to shave with it, if not, irritation will occur as I found -I found it not at easy to shave longer beard hair, I am novice and may not have good technique, but I found it to function as intended on a shaved beards 1-2 weeks old. I apologize if I'm stating the obvious.

Enjoyable First Experience

I’ve suffered pretty badly from razor bumps for the past few years, and I’ve tried dozens of multi blade and double edged razors before. I may not understand the science behind it, but switching over to the Bevel DE razor has done wonders for my skin in terms of minimizing irritation and skin discolouration due to said irritation.

 I've been using it quite often, probably three times a week. And the nice thing too about it is it's got a good weight to it because it is stainless steel and it's got a butterfly open design. So you twist the bottom right here and the top opens up like that so that you can switch out your razor blade when it gets dull for a new one and it does come with a pack of five replacement blades, which is really nice, has nice side grips for you to hold and this is very thin and very sharp, so you have to be careful when using it. And then it just slides back in, nice easy replacement and you twist it back shut so it's nice and tight and you're off to the races

 So the idea behind this is that it's only a single blade, so you're only passing a single blade over your skin one time instead of a three blade or five blade. So I actually found it made a big difference when I switched over to this and I really love this. I've been using it quite often, probably three times a week. Our Point of View on Wilkinson Sword Double Edge Razors

 I bought mine at Aldi on special. Struggled with it for a while and then moved it on. Upgrade to a Karve with E plate. My daily shave takes 10-15 min

Whenever I shave with a safety razor it always takes ages. I go over an area and it's still not properly shaved so I do it again and again. It takes me about an hour to shave and it's so annoying. I shave every 4 days, but lately I've left it to a week because I've been feeling apathetic towards shaving due to this reason. 

I was shaving today and after my first pass I missed so much hair. In response I got my cartridge razor out which I haven't used since the start of the year and used that for the rest of the shave with the exception of a few missed areas. 

I can't see what I'm doing wrong. I've been shaving with a safety razor for 1.5 years, I've used lots of different blades and I've seen plenty of videos on techniques and so on. 

Maybe it's because I have a cheap razor, but I can't see how that would really make a difference. I also use perma-sharps which are supposed to be the sharpest blade, or at least one of the sharpest. 

I use a cheap Wilkinson Sword razor. In terms of the quality of the shave it's basically perfect. No ingrown hairs and very rarely do I get any irritation. 

It's annoying because safety razors are cheap and very good for the environment, but I think I may need to go to cartridges which means more plastic waste, more expensive and ingrown hairs. I've just got one ingrown hair now from using that cartridge. 

Sorry to go off on a rant. I love shaving. I love all the different artisan soaps, creams, how economical it all is and so on, but this one aspect is ruining it for me. 

The part I hate the most is the prevalence of ingrown hairs. That's gonna ruin my face, but what choice do I have?

I'm getting really sick of safety razors.

Wilkinson sword for me. Mild enough that I dont get irritation, sharp enough that I can get a pretty solid (not bbs) shave on 2 passes.

Some samples arrived today. So excited to start experimenting! What's your favourite blade and why?
