Bevel Safety vs Leaf Shave Twig Razor

What I mean by this is it gives an insanely close shave and is overall amazing for what it can do, however even with an extremely steady and patient hand it won’t matter bc it so easily slices right through any imperfections on your face and leaves you with an open wound every time and often in many places seeing as we’re humans and not inherently perfect. No amount of prep will help you avoid being cut every time you use this product unless you can truly say you have the most flawless skin under the hair your shaving.

The Bevel blades are mediocre and dull quickly, I'm using Gillette Blues in it instead. The Bevel brand DE blades are overpriced for what they are, just regular DE blades, nothing special. I think a lot of the positive reviews here are from people moving from cartridge shaving to wet shaving with a DE safety razor, and it is superior. There isn't anything special about Bevel compared to other DE safety razors

They're just not sharp enough. I shave daily, and using a DE razor I can achieve a great smooth shave with 2-3 passes (with a touch-up); but using the Twig with the Leaf blade, its at least 3-4 passes and then multiple touch-ups over and over and even then I can't get the smooth finish I get with a DE razor. So I am trying a few other razor brands in the Twig.

Still finding the best blade to pair with the razor. It’s great for any one that gets irritation from shaving and provides a pretty smooth shave. The best part is probably the long handle.

My most recent purchase was a Leaf Twig, and that razor has been delightful. I have no complaints with it thus far.
