To echo what others have said, my home defense gun is a ca. 1970 Mossberg 500 with interchangeable barrels allowing me to keep it ready at home with an 18.5" barrel, but easily swap to a 28" barrel for clay shooting. Swapping barrels is a matter of using my hands to unscrew a nut at the end of the magazine tube, removing the short barrel, placing the long barrel, and tightening the nut with my hands
