 I think the Mini-Grip really hits on both of those things. While it leans slightly more towards the "hard use" end of the pool, the Mini-Grip comes close to being a perfectly balanced EDC knife. If you're going to exceed the $50.00 range with one knife, I would recommend that it be this knife

 Super impressed. I guess what I'm saying is that even though fit and finish aren't perfect, you may be perfectly assured they'll make it right if you aren't happy.  Put more plainly, it will hold a "utility edge" (can't shave with it but still quite useful) for a really, really long time. Easily a competitor to s30v.  Deployment Method: One-handed ambidextrous. Very old school, field-tested-and-approved thumb studs, both average in size and shape

Fantastic EDC but pocket shredder

 My pinkie is hanging off the back of the thing and so it doesn't really feel like its firmly in my hand. Came very sharp. As Far as the Axis lock goes I have a few knives by a Chinese maker that does it better in my opinion .(yes I know they stole it) Could just be that they fit my hand better

Wanted to love it

  The AXIS lock is very nice, and always feels secure with no movement of the blade. I've had frame and liner locked blades feel like they could move, especially if you opened the blade gently and did not get a firm *click* into place, and this is a very good solution with no drawbacks. I had never used one before this purchase, but it is the most quality locking mechanism I've ever felt and my favorite feature of the knife now.  The overall size is exactly what I wanted

 The grip also feels solid and quality, although some pictures seem "plasticy" in appearance. In my focused attempts at twisting or deforming it did not flex or yield in any way. It looks and feels like a quality piece of functional hardware. No frills or decorations, but strong and useful construction

 I work in an industrial plant and wanted a quality knife that I wouldn't be afraid to use when I need it. I have used it for shaving debris off of rollers, cutting various sized air hoses, plastic tie wraps, small cables, gasket materials, etc..

Great EDC choice

 Sometimes it's smooth sometimes its a bit rough. The blade shape is great, the thumb studs are okay although I prefer holes over studs, as far as studs go they are very functional. My main problem with the knife is the distance between the thumb ramp area on the spine and the finger choil. When I hold the knife I keep wanting to put my index finger on the base of the blade because the finger choil area on the handle is too low on the knife relative to the thumb ramp

It's alright. The materials and quality construction/fit and finish prompt me to give it four stars. If construction wasn't so great and all I had was the design to base my review on I would give it three stars.  The knife came fairly sharp, it shaves hair but can't whittle hair in the air

Solid knife

 My mini grip didn't come super hair shaving sharp out of the box like all my Spyderco knives but it was still better than my kershaw / cold steel knives brand new.  Honestly my only main gripe is how the knife feels in hand. It's not bad, but not comfortable for me. Keep in my mind this is just my opinion

 Their warranty is by far the best I've dealt with in a long time, no questions asked regarding my issue. They're also taking care of me and are sending out a free deep carry pocket clip on top of it (something anyone with a benchmade can request, there's a few other sweet models to choose from). With my main problem taken cared of and putting the knife through it's paces over the weekend I can safely say I love the thing already. The axis lock is nice when needing one handed operation

 I should note that the 2 Sanremu's are the same size as the Benchmade. Being a bigger guy, I need something with a little more heft.  I'm actually very disappointed right now. I really wanted to like the Benchmade, but when it seems like it's of lesser quality (build/tolerance, not blade steel quality) than the other 2, I can't do anything with it, other than return it and buy something else

 I've collected knives for nearly 40 years, and honestly can't believe the lack of quality in this knife. After seeing many posts in blade forums and Facebook groups, it seems that sadly, I'm not alone. Many others I've spoken with have gotten sub-par quality Griptillians. I can understand getting lesser quality when you buy the lower end knives from any manufacturer, but this is just unacceptable

I guess I'll be the first to give this knife a low rating.

Not much I can add to what others have said. Great size, durable and SHARP. The 154CM steel holds an edge for a good long time. Haven't had to try to resharpen yet so I can't say how that will go

  The axis lock isn't the strongest out there but I like how you can flick it open like a normal folder or just pull on the release and swing it open.  The one negative that I have with it is the price. Benchmade still uses 154cm on this model which is a decent steel but I feel as if they should offer a higher grade steel in 2016.

 The blade length is going to be right at about 3 inches the handle length. It'S going to be right at about four and a quarter. Just under four and a quarter, which is the same as a delica, of course, but the difference is going to be the handle thickness. This right here is going to be can't really see it

 This is going to be the spyderco salt, 2 lightweight. There'S that real nice bright green now this of course is based off of the delica and if you're not familiar with the delica, got one right here to compare it to now. The delica is pretty much spydercos, i would say their most well-known model, not necessarily their most popular. That would probably go to the pm2, but you can see the handles are identical in shape

4 inches now, that might not seem like much, but it does make a difference now you can see both of these are lightweight models. This one does not have any liners, nor does this one, but this one is actually significantly more lightweight and it's noticeable in the hand the weight on this is only 1.9 ounces, as opposed to the delica lightweight, which is 2.29 ounces

Linerless FRN handle without washers, and DLC coated Lock Bar: The Handle has no liners which makes it lighter than the endura 4, but a little less ridgid and a little less smooth. The balance in the hand however is more comfortable. This makes the knife extremely Lightweight

Taller blade with a sheep’s foot tip in LC200N Steel: The blade is taller than an endura 4, and has a less pointy blade (tip looks like a sheep’s foot) This is likely for safety on a boat. Blade slices better than a stock endura. The LC200N will hold an edge longer than the VG10 on a normal endura and is rust proof.

Titanium Pocket Clip: The Pocket clip is titanium to resist corrosion, it is very light, and comfortable to grip.

Perfect for a Backpacker or a Diver

 Some people appreciated it and honestly, at the time it was the best we had right, but this is a steal that will not rust and is good to go right. This lc200n is a steal. I would have no problem carrying in my daily life right. It works, it is absolutely fine, it is more than adequate for daily carry and it just happens not to be at all vulnerable to rust

This is very clearly derivative of the delica four uh yeah, the delica four and uh. Well, you know that that shows put them like this. It'S very very hard to tell the difference, except this little bit of blade profile, a little bit of blade height here

 Living in Florida with it's humidity, plus having it inside your front pocket most times soaking up your sweat causes most knife blades to develop some rust. That's why I bought the Salt One with H1 steel before. But I wasn't happy with the steel. It's like an AUS8 steel to me, which isn't bad but no where near VG10

Only complaint, and it's really not. I wish they'd kept the handle configuration same as in the Salt One where the end is squarish and wider. As it is, it's more like the Endura series.
