 I think the Mini-Grip really hits on both of those things. While it leans slightly more towards the "hard use" end of the pool, the Mini-Grip comes close to being a perfectly balanced EDC knife. If you're going to exceed the $50.00 range with one knife, I would recommend that it be this knife

 Super impressed. I guess what I'm saying is that even though fit and finish aren't perfect, you may be perfectly assured they'll make it right if you aren't happy. These people are serious about keeping customers, and I don't doubt this is part of that hefty initial price-tag.  Ease of Maintenance:  Another POTENTIAL problem area

 Put more plainly, it will hold a "utility edge" (can't shave with it but still quite useful) for a really, really long time. Easily a competitor to s30v.  Deployment Method: One-handed ambidextrous. Very old school, field-tested-and-approved thumb studs, both average in size and shape

 I won't wear this knife with suits or khaki pants because it will readily tear them up. Even my cargo shorts and jeans wear noticeably after clipping this knife quite a bit.  My pinkie is hanging off the back of the thing and so it doesn't really feel like its firmly in my hand. Came very sharp. As Far as the Axis lock goes I have a few knives by a Chinese maker that does it better in my opinion .(yes I know they stole it) Could just be that they fit my hand better

Wanted to love it

  The AXIS lock is very nice, and always feels secure with no movement of the blade. I've had frame and liner locked blades feel like they could move, especially if you opened the blade gently and did not get a firm *click* into place, and this is a very good solution with no drawbacks. I had never used one before this purchase, but it is the most quality locking mechanism I've ever felt and my favorite feature of the knife now.  The overall size is exactly what I wanted

 The grip also feels solid and quality, although some pictures seem "plasticy" in appearance. In my focused attempts at twisting or deforming it did not flex or yield in any way. It looks and feels like a quality piece of functional hardware. No frills or decorations, but strong and useful construction

 I work in an industrial plant and wanted a quality knife that I wouldn't be afraid to use when I need it. I have used it for shaving debris off of rollers, cutting various sized air hoses, plastic tie wraps, small cables, gasket materials, etc..

Great EDC choice

 Sometimes it's smooth sometimes its a bit rough. The blade shape is great, the thumb studs are okay although I prefer holes over studs, as far as studs go they are very functional. My main problem with the knife is the distance between the thumb ramp area on the spine and the finger choil. When I hold the knife I keep wanting to put my index finger on the base of the blade because the finger choil area on the handle is too low on the knife relative to the thumb ramp

It's alright. The materials and quality construction/fit and finish prompt me to give it four stars. If construction wasn't so great and all I had was the design to base my review on I would give it three stars.  The knife came fairly sharp, it shaves hair but can't whittle hair in the air

Solid knife

 My mini grip didn't come super hair shaving sharp out of the box like all my Spyderco knives but it was still better than my kershaw / cold steel knives brand new.  Honestly my only main gripe is how the knife feels in hand. It's not bad, but not comfortable for me. Keep in my mind this is just my opinion

 Their warranty is by far the best I've dealt with in a long time, no questions asked regarding my issue. They're also taking care of me and are sending out a free deep carry pocket clip on top of it (something anyone with a benchmade can request, there's a few other sweet models to choose from). With my main problem taken cared of and putting the knife through it's paces over the weekend I can safely say I love the thing already. The axis lock is nice when needing one handed operation

 I should note that the 2 Sanremu's are the same size as the Benchmade. Being a bigger guy, I need something with a little more heft.  I'm actually very disappointed right now. I really wanted to like the Benchmade, but when it seems like it's of lesser quality (build/tolerance, not blade steel quality) than the other 2, I can't do anything with it, other than return it and buy something else

 I've collected knives for nearly 40 years, and honestly can't believe the lack of quality in this knife. After seeing many posts in blade forums and Facebook groups, it seems that sadly, I'm not alone. Many others I've spoken with have gotten sub-par quality Griptillians. I can understand getting lesser quality when you buy the lower end knives from any manufacturer, but this is just unacceptable

I guess I'll be the first to give this knife a low rating.

Not much I can add to what others have said. Great size, durable and SHARP. The 154CM steel holds an edge for a good long time. Haven't had to try to resharpen yet so I can't say how that will go

  The axis lock isn't the strongest out there but I like how you can flick it open like a normal folder or just pull on the release and swing it open.  The one negative that I have with it is the price. Benchmade still uses 154cm on this model which is a decent steel but I feel as if they should offer a higher grade steel in 2016.

I have to say that it is probably the best folding knife locking mechanism out there for ease of ...

 There were two ways that you can do it some folks, especially with longer fingers than I have, can kind of reach around front with their index finger and pull it out like that from me, I prefer it to kind of you treat it a little bit like A lighter it's hard to do this under a camera on a table here, but basically you put your thumb right here and then you use your thumb and you press this direction and it pops the knife out in that direction and then kind of goes out. This way - and so you can get to a point where this is very easy process - you pull the knife out. You position it in a certain way, and especially with this clip being positioned as it is, lunnqvist is really thinking here. It'S easy to grab it's easy to go and then the blade is open um and you can also, by the way, do this in a two-handed way

 It wasn't like. The Feist 2 is something like that. So you couldn't go online to a retailer and make sure you were getting one of the good ones and so unfortunately, a number of my reviewers in the time after that was recalled and when they said oh no, no more of them were in shops. People were still getting bad ones that was really really ugly and honestly kinda, although they still made it right for the people who got a bad one, you could still send it in and really put me off the brand for a little while that was, I don't Feel like that was handled that well, and so I kind of didn't care for that, but nevertheless they have now finally got about released a different version

 Generally. I, like a lot of it, I'm next thing size, comparison um. This is not a huge knife, particularly you can see here that deities down here right here. Ah, this is the Ontario rat number, though here it is against the Ontario rat number one, and so you can see here it's a relatively small knife, both in handle and overall and here it is against your Spyderco

 But this knife on my table hip is absolutely there's nothing ugly here. So the final conclusion: I'm gon na try and put the past aside here. You know all of that water under the frickin bridge, at least for the conclusion here, as I think the knife here is substantially a great idea, because I think smaller production front-flip is absolutely need to be a thing that the sheer number of the people - anticipating this Guy Vichy, a number of requests and desires for the original version of the Feist showed exactly that. I think they tied the original release just perfectly and had they just nailed it, it would have been a huge massive freakin hit and I think so it's a good idea to start with, and I think the second version actually fixes a number of the issues of The first one I'm adding the little bit of design and uniqueness
