 It'S like a hundred dollar knife. This one is going to be 165, so you know. Is that worth it you're gon na have to make that decision yourself, but I really think it is because everything they added is just you know everything I wanted. I, the original group Chilean that didn't have it that pretty much kept me from buying it

 There still got the same texture as the other one, though I think they took out some of the jimping, but it's got jimping right here yeah. I don't think I think the original model had something right here got some jumping up here, jumping up here right here. I mean it doesn't feel that, like it locks your hand into place like the air military tube, like that, jibing just seems to just grab your thumb, mainly because a huge ramp but uh this jimping is a little bit more round. It'S comfortable though it doesn't feel like you know abrasive, so you know I don't care that much about the jimping, so it is g10 handle

 The steel upgrade there's the g10 handles, which I don't really care that much about the Steel's. But I really like the g10 handles it's just really: nice gray. G10. You see right

 So that's my review on the new 550 one grim Chilean with the gray g10 overall, just really liked the knife highly recommend you get one. So thanks for watching and hope you enjoyed it.

Really wanting to love this knife but if this action does not improve I will have no choice other than the inconvenience of returning it. As shown in the picture when the axis is disengaged the blade should just fall shut and it clearly does not

 I can’t middle finger flip this knife like my PM2 or Manix 2. The blade does not fall free when the axis is disengaged. Not sure if it needs broke in or if it’s defective or what. This action has me disappointed

 Quality is the only word that comes to mind. This blade shape is odd looking and maybe not for self defense tactical roles but it’s dangerously sharp. The fit and finish are nice. It has this line pattern/texture that you can feel

 No issues for some people that handle may be a little bit thick, but for me I found it to be just just perfect, so it does have this access, locking mechanism, which you can see right here. Basically you're going to be pulling that down and then you can close it up. It is the modified sheepsfoot style of blade and then you've got this hole to open it up. I do that generally slowly

 Some people don't like that, because it adds a little bit more weight to the knife, but for me no not a big deal at all, so I'm using this just I carry around of my you know. My pants, like on my jeans, pocket. If I got a cut rope, I got open packages. I got to do any kind of you know, I'm out there and something happens with the car and I need a blade to kind of pry something open or you know, cut some wire or something like that

 This does exactly what I needed to do a couple other things to know about this. You have steel liners in here and you can see if you look inside there's you know steel inside the inside the handle there that helps to make sure the blade doesn't move sideways at all they're, very solid, no wobble in this guy whatsoever. So that is uh. You know something, I think is a good choice by benchmade

 So I ended up going with this guy I traded in the remix at a local sporting goods store. That gave me some store credit and then I put in some extra money and got the grip Tilian. It'S going to run you probably in the $ 90 range. So you're, paying definitely more than if you just go to you, know your local sporting goods store and get something off the shelf there that's packaged up in the plastic, but you know long-term

Benchmade Griptilian 550: My Favorite Everday Carry, EDC,  Hiking Knife

 The jimping is fantastic. It'S perfectly spaced, perfect, perfect to lock your hands in there, and you know the handle shape is just extremely economic. It'S a great great shape and very very comfortable to hold in your hand all day the texture on the g10 on this version of it is actually much less pronounced than the FRN version. This has a foreign you can see on here

 The good balance of everything is what you're looking for. So that's what ECB is good g10 is a composite material. It is extremely tough and extremely wear resistant and just light and good in the hand. It'S it's an excellent excellent material for a knife, and so this version is is quite nice

I also really like the black dlc coating, which actually has held up very well against the grey, and also the blue liners in here are really really nice, so I really think that's a great touch, I think mention they did a good job with that. They also did a good job, putting the the clip on here the deep carry clip, I think, that's an excellent decision there indeed carry clip is one of the best Clips around really with almost any knife in in the production category and this in this price range

 I highly recommend this as a knife. Okay, next question: does it hold up in today's market? I don't think it's aged particularly well, but it's aged well enough that if you want one of these, I would still recommend it question three: is it worth the value proposition? I would argue no, but if you buy one of these on the secondary market, there's no reason you can't find one if you're patient enough for around 120 and then it's a really good value. So that's really what the takeaway is that you you know. I want to give you on this, but also just one other thing: it comes in a satin blade or DLC, but and the scales are going to be the same either way

Benchmade Griptilian 550-1 in 20CV and G10 Review

I received the Griptilian CMP 20CV for a gift several months ago. This is the best knife in my rotation, beating out my Manix2 S110V. The ergonomics are good. The blade is fantastic, super sharp, a and resilient

The Mini Griptilian has a steep price tag, but it’s better than the others by nearly every measure. The distinctive blade-locking system and movable pocket clip make this knife fully ambidextrous.

 I think the Mini-Grip really hits on both of those things. While it leans slightly more towards the "hard use" end of the pool, the Mini-Grip comes close to being a perfectly balanced EDC knife. If you're going to exceed the $50.00 range with one knife, I would recommend that it be this knife

 Super impressed. I guess what I'm saying is that even though fit and finish aren't perfect, you may be perfectly assured they'll make it right if you aren't happy. These people are serious about keeping customers, and I don't doubt this is part of that hefty initial price-tag.  Ease of Maintenance:  Another POTENTIAL problem area

 Put more plainly, it will hold a "utility edge" (can't shave with it but still quite useful) for a really, really long time. Easily a competitor to s30v.  Deployment Method: One-handed ambidextrous. Very old school, field-tested-and-approved thumb studs, both average in size and shape

 I won't wear this knife with suits or khaki pants because it will readily tear them up. Even my cargo shorts and jeans wear noticeably after clipping this knife quite a bit. You can cure this by working the clip and sanding the contact point, but from the factory, beware and guard your pants!  2. Discretion - not great here, either

Fantastic EDC but pocket shredder

 My pinkie is hanging off the back of the thing and so it doesn't really feel like its firmly in my hand. Came very sharp. As Far as the Axis lock goes I have a few knives by a Chinese maker that does it better in my opinion .(yes I know they stole it) Could just be that they fit my hand better

Wanted to love it

  The AXIS lock is very nice, and always feels secure with no movement of the blade. I've had frame and liner locked blades feel like they could move, especially if you opened the blade gently and did not get a firm *click* into place, and this is a very good solution with no drawbacks. I had never used one before this purchase, but it is the most quality locking mechanism I've ever felt and my favorite feature of the knife now.  The overall size is exactly what I wanted

 The grip also feels solid and quality, although some pictures seem "plasticy" in appearance. In my focused attempts at twisting or deforming it did not flex or yield in any way. It looks and feels like a quality piece of functional hardware. No frills or decorations, but strong and useful construction

 I work in an industrial plant and wanted a quality knife that I wouldn't be afraid to use when I need it. I have used it for shaving debris off of rollers, cutting various sized air hoses, plastic tie wraps, small cables, gasket materials, etc..

Great EDC choice

 Sometimes it's smooth sometimes its a bit rough. The blade shape is great, the thumb studs are okay although I prefer holes over studs, as far as studs go they are very functional. My main problem with the knife is the distance between the thumb ramp area on the spine and the finger choil. When I hold the knife I keep wanting to put my index finger on the base of the blade because the finger choil area on the handle is too low on the knife relative to the thumb ramp

It's alright. The materials and quality construction/fit and finish prompt me to give it four stars. If construction wasn't so great and all I had was the design to base my review on I would give it three stars.  The knife came fairly sharp, it shaves hair but can't whittle hair in the air

Solid knife

 My mini grip didn't come super hair shaving sharp out of the box like all my Spyderco knives but it was still better than my kershaw / cold steel knives brand new.  Honestly my only main gripe is how the knife feels in hand. It's not bad, but not comfortable for me. Keep in my mind this is just my opinion

They're also taking care of me and are sending out a free deep carry pocket clip on top of it (something anyone with a benchmade can request, there's a few other sweet models to choose from). With my main problem taken cared of and putting the knife through it's paces over the weekend I can safely say I love the thing already. The axis lock is nice when needing one handed operation

 I should note that the 2 Sanremu's are the same size as the Benchmade. Being a bigger guy, I need something with a little more heft.  I'm actually very disappointed right now. I really wanted to like the Benchmade, but when it seems like it's of lesser quality (build/tolerance, not blade steel quality) than the other 2, I can't do anything with it, other than return it and buy something else

I guess I'll be the first to give this knife a low rating.
