Benchmade 940 in S90V and carbon fiber. My dad's gift to me for getting through highschool. Take that that thing everywhere, only had to sharpen it once.

Will test how long it holds this super sharp edge. we'll see how it holds up on my next fishing "grocery" trip. The knife will get a workout on salmon, rockfish fillets. Future feedback to follow afterwards, in regards to performance, holding an edge, etc

TLDR: It feels great, I LOVE the weight and looks of carbon fiber but doesn't seem like its a good value. I'm not a knife enthusiast or a collector, but I wanted something I could carry and forget its in my pocket for everyday tasks. I like premium products like carbon fiber and the idea behind S90v being a steel that keeps its "working edge" for longer periods of time. Overall I can't say i'm crazy about the product for the price

Trash. No idea how they got the nerve to call this "corrosion resistant". Spyderco salt knives, now THOSE are corrosion resistant. This thing rusted after its first contact with salt water, the hinge stopped working, Im guessing the metal inside has no resistance at all

This is no big deal because benchmade stands by their products, but now I have to send it back because I paid too much for these issues to exist. Really do love the fit and finish of the carbon fiber scales though. The light weight of such a nice sized knife is incredible as well. It feels like I am carrying my much smaller BM Sequel

The ergonomics of the knife handle and texture are good for the money. And the steel is as expected from Kershaw. Merry Christmas dad
