I've never owned a knife that failed so quickly with such light use, and I'm surprised at the popularity and continued production of the Urban Trapper. The CEO knife is built like a tank in comparison, and is less than half the price for the base model. Not as nice a steel but holds up under much harder use.

Also, my copy had a fair amount of side to side blade play, no matter how I fiddled with tightening the pivot. On the positive note, the blade centering was perfect and as well as the amount of detente. Overall finish is tad rough but the S35VN blade seems well made and properly heat treated as it held up pretty well in hard use. I also bought the G-10 version which weighed at much better 4 oz

Love the blade. The scales are too heavy though. Heavy enough that I had to cinch up my belt. And the clip is too large, gets in the way of your pinky when you hit the flip tab

This is really a five star knife. So why only four stars? I love the weight. Love the blade shape. For me the blade length is great being slightly longer than my Keyshawn leek as an example, which is a great knife but the blade length on the urban trapper is prefered for some food tasks such as slicing cheese and sausage etc

I really like this knife. It feels good, opens smoothly, locks firmly and comes razor sharp. It looks pretty sleek too. The ball bearing pivot is nice and smooth and this is a nice knife for the price, especially considering that it has an s30v blade

The difference between the two is $40. The Boker being more expensive. I must say I wish I stuck with the Kizer. The Boker has the Kizer beat as far as quality materials go but here's my issue
