 Hi guys, Matt from the Snowboard Asylum here. I'm here with Chris from our store in Brayhead

 who's just been out on the Bataleon Whalley. I don't know much about this snowboard to

 be honest with you, so if you could give us a bit of a low down on what it's all about

 This board is a jib board through and through. It's super soft, it's buttery, coming out

 like a three flex so it's made for like hitting rails, being in the street, that sort of thing.

 Turn up on the nose and tail which is a bit unusual for the board, as far as your sort

 of wallies onto rails, so made for the street, super easy to ride, super soft.

 will press and will mess and butter around like everywhere on the mountain or in the

 streets, in the domes, on the rails, like yeah, definitely take a look at this because

 Compared to some of Battalion's other profiles, which lend themselves to floating powder or carving on the pieces, the Walle's Jib 3BT profile is built purely with park, street, and flatland riding in mind. It has the widest center base section of all the Battalion profiles, with just a low uplift in the side base sections on either side, and then an extra dose of uplift at the widest part of the nose and tail, which you can see here, and these are known as the sidekicks. This means that you've got the largest surface area in the center of the nose and tail, which gives you a super stable platform to pop or press from, but enough of a bevel on either side to raise the contact points and make hookups a thing of the past. Not surprisingly, the Walle is one of the softest flexing boards in Battalion's line at around a three out of 10 on their rating scale
