 You definitely need the turner and what i'll do is i'll i'll?  I, like it, it's a good, solid piece of gear, so if christmas is coming and your loved one needs something special, i recommend the baker stone. So good piece of gear see you next time. 

 If you've got a topper on it, like that's flush with the top of the truck bed, it will fit nicely under there, so it moves really easy and so far i can tell you: we've had it on about 15, almost 20 minutes. I had often toyed around with building my own pizza oven. This popped up on the web somewhere and I did some investigation on it, how it held up, and most importantly..

 You do not want to go too big on that so 8 or 9 in is just enough. The opening to the oven is approximately 12 to 12 and a half inches and you need to be able to actually spin the pie. 

Just what I was looking for!

 Try this um, i just closed the garage door and we're gon na get this thing a little more hot and then i'm going to toss. This is the pizza right here we're gon na toss. This pizza on this is the pizza peel that came with the baker stone. I'Ve got some cornmeal underneath there um, the cornmeal helps it slide off, and it also gives it like kind of a nice texture to the to the crust when you're eating it

 So once i get this up to temperature you're going to see me slide this pizza on and we'll see how long it takes to get this. I'Ve got also the pizza turner that came with this baker stone. So we use that that says that about every minute you should rotate the pizza about a third or a quarter of the way around, because the back of the oven is supposed to be the hottest. So we're gon na give that a go

 I built it right on the pizza peel that way, it makes it easier. You have to move it around and it should just slide right in so. Let'S see, i've also turned the temperature right down to low, so we're going to see, try that because, like i said this is my first time ever using this, the cheese pizza i got was pretty hot pretty fast, so i'm gon na take it down a notch And we're gon na see how this pepperoni piece - cooks, [, Music, ], all right! I believe this is due to a hurricane - that's going through i'm in my garage because i'm out of the wind and it's very well ventilated, so i can use propane accessories. Uh in this garage safely got my baker stone warm right up

 I followed all the tips in the manual and in the Amazon feedback -- removed the flavorizer bars, made sure the gas pipes were unclogged and in good working condition -- and had all four burners on full-blast. The air was still and the outside temperature was 98°F, so I can't blame the weather.  The built-in temperature gauge made it as far as the line between "oven" and "fire," which my IR thermometer measured as just shy of 500°F. I can do that inside in my normal oven! Apparently, I would have been better off continuing to use an ordinary pizza stone in my normal oven

Corn meal burns at this temperature. - Its a lot easier using a wood peel to launch raw pizza, and a metal peel and long metal tongs to turn (should turn it once half way through cook), and then remove pizza

) - If trying to make just like Italy pizza use a small amount of sauce and few toppings. It cooks at 800 to 900 F in 3 to 4 minutes.  - Its really hot. A high temperature glove with a long cuff is a useful safety tool. And absolutely needed if you are using a cast iron grill pan to cook something in it (grabbing the handle of a hot cast iron pan with ones bare hand, or even a flimsy oven mitt, is something one should never do, and in any event will do only once.) - IR thermometer is helpful to verify interior oven temperature but not absolutely needed

We stuck the rest of the pies in the conventional oven saving our night. Needless to say everyone was disappointed and our guests made fun of this box

 Very disappointing. Unfortunately I just tried to return this thing but our time to do do expired. Again very disappointing.

 We followed the directions exactly. Each time it just didn’t seem to get hot enough, even though the indicator was in the proper zone. We did not have a metal pizza peel and that seemed to be a big problem. One should come with it

Just get a pizza stone and put it on a grill. Cheaper and better.

 And rotate your pizza about 2 minutes in or else the back will be burned and the front will be fine!

Also, I use a torch to get the pellets started, and I place the oven so that the firebox points into the wind and the chimney opening faces away from the wind. Cheers!

  I've used it a couple of times so far and it has really made some great pies. The one thing I would say is that it might take some practice for me to perfect the temperature/pellet management. Since the oven needs to be fired for a while to get the stone hot, it is necessary to add pellets as they burn down. If you let them burn down too much and add too many at once, you can cause the temp to dip
