 When I did pedal Assist Level Five, I got 12.6 seconds. This bike seemed to jump off the line pretty quickly and the easier gear you're in, the more you're going to accelerate up to that top speed. When I had the Pace 500 completely off, I got 18 seconds flat, which isn't terribly bad considering this is a 49 pound E-bike This is one of those E-bikes I still feel like you can pedal around even if the battery's dead

 When it comes to the throttle only, I got one minute and 48 seconds. That's a lot faster than we got on the event and level, and I think that's partially due to this bike being a lot lighter weight coming in at 49 pounds. When I did maximum pedal assist level 5, I got 1 minute and 16 seconds just 8 seconds behind the evented level. So this seems to be a little bit closer together when it comes to the speed and capability of the throttle and the pedal assist, but the venting level might still be a tad bit faster

5 miles per hour. That's pretty quick considering how far our test rider went. Whether you are going commuting or cruising on the Pace 500, you'll have more than enough battery life to get to your desired destination, so don't be afraid to put the pace through well, it's paces.  I love the way it's built into the frame because it looks so clean and elegant. That said, it's a bit smaller than we usually see in this class of E-bike though only slightly. Even so, you still get quite good range. And in fact, I love the way Evinton always gives us the real world range figures, showing us that not only does the throttle only range give us about 30 miles of range at 20 miles an hour, but depending where you fall on the pedal assist levels from 1 to 5, you could get anywhere from 24 to 47 miles of range

 The bike rides on 27 and a half inch by 2.2 inch street tires, so there's a bit of a cushion there to make up for the lack of suspension, though admittedly not a ton of cushion. Even so, this is still a comfortable bike to ride because of the geometry. It's not a forward hunched commuter bike, but it's also not a totally upright cruiser either

 As the name implies, the Pace 500's rear motor is rated at a continuous 500 watts, though you know the peak power is definitely higher. I mean, it has to be because this model is a fast class 3 E-bike that gets up to 28 miles per hour or 45 kilometers per hour and it doesn't take too long to get there either. Plus, the 8-speed transmission lets you actually pedal fairly comfortably at higher speeds too. The bike gets powered by that new 48 volt and 12 amp hour battery with 614 watt hours of capacity

 Even so, you still get quite good range. And in fact, I love the way Evinton always gives us the real world range figures, showing us that not only does the throttle only range give us about 30 miles of range at 20 miles an hour, but depending where you fall on the pedal assist levels from 1 to 5, you could get anywhere from 24 to 47 miles of range. While we loved the wealth of features, it made assembling the Nakto a little more involved and time-consuming than most. It wasn't difficult by any means, but it took an hour to complete the process. We were also a little underwhelmed by this bike's pedal-assist system. Not only were the display and controls quite basic, but it only has one pedal assist level. It works; it's just a little less sophisticated than some of the other bikes we tested. That said, we still feel this is a quality, comfortable e-bike with a great range and cargo capacity.

 It'S really just overkill. So that's another reason why they could save money or you could save money really by buying this bike by getting a little slightly lower voltage battery. But, like i said, the acceleration is very good on this bike and it will do 20 miles an hour right out of the box. You can you can go into the menus and change

 I spent a good month checking out e-bikes in fine detail before going with this one, and i guess, if you kind of want the short version of it, i'm extremely happy with it and i highly recommend it. So why do i say that several reasons actually first thing: i want to talk about and kind of the most important thing on an e-bike is the battery and the motor. Those are the two by far most expensive things to replace if anything goes wrong with them and those two things really determine the functionality, the performance and just the overall, how good the e-bike is. First, let's talk about the motor it's 250 watts, which is not the most powerful in the world

 The only thing you need to put on is the front tire and the handlebars, which is extremely easy to do and will take you probably 15 minutes, tops next thing. The shimano gear system on this bike, or rather the gear system on this bike, is a shimano which is good because shimano make really good gears and hubs and shifters now, it's obviously not their highest end shimano gear set, but it's a pretty dang good one. Nonetheless, and for the purposes of this bike, which is not made for off-road use, it will handle anything you're going to throw at it 100 percent. As far as the brakes go, it does have v brakes on the front and rear you're, not getting um disc brakes with this bike, however, for city riding disc brakes just weigh more they're a more complicated system and they're more expensive to put on the bike

 So you really don't need them to be honest with you, these this bike does stop very quickly and since disc brakes really don't make a big difference unless you were to get hydraulic disc brakes, most bikes that come with disc brakes will have mechanical disc brakes, and It really doesn't stop much quicker mechanical disc brakes versus a standard v brake. It'S only when you get into hydraulic disc brakes that you really notice a difference and there's no way you're going to get a bike at this price with hydraulic disc brakes on it. But, like i said for city riding street riding, this thing stops exceptionally fast. You wouldn't need anything more than it

 I guess you're not getting a lot of extras here for 599 bucks, [, Music ]. On the electrical side, the bike is rocking a 250 watt rear hub motor. That gets it up to just shy of 20 miles an hour or 32 km/h, though the pole is strong enough and the hill climbing is decent enough that I suspect it's actually closer to a 350 watt motor.
