The large 672Wh battery and efficient use of power also helped make the Level one of the top performers in our distance range testing. We tested the Step-Thru version &#40;it also comes in a traditional step-over frame&#41; and we found it to be quite comfortable, with a very smooth, stable ride with responsive handling. Unlike many manufacturers that use a one size fits most approach, Aventon offers the Level Step-Thru in two frame sizes to fit riders between 4'11" and 6'2" tall. It also comes with an excellent user interface and useful features like fenders and a heavy-duty rear rack.
We found little to complain about with the Level Step-Thru, but we were a little disappointed that it doesn't come with lights. That said, aftermarket lights are relatively affordable, and the ones that typically come on complete bikes usually aren't that great anyway. Additionally, the handlebar has a limited range of height adjustability, so dialing it in your exact preferences isn't as easy as with some other models. Beyond that, we feel this quality e-bike is a fantastic option for the city, commuting, or just for fun.

 Are ergonomic grips by velo, they've kind of been shaped around the human hand. That really meshes nicely with your palm when you're holding on when it comes to the brakes on this bike. This has hydraulic disc brakes from bangle and 180 millimeter disc rotors. I love that they put hydraulic disc brakes on this bike, because it's rare that you find a bike at this price point that has those hydraulic disc brakes so kudos to event in

 As i mentioned in the specs, it isn't very common that you find a bike around this price point with this nice nice of brakes so kudos to a venting for the brake setup on this bike. It really adds to the overall experience and performance of the event and level [ Music ]. It has been a hell of a day, testing this event and level, and let me say i think this bike is the perfect super commuter for a lot of people. Reason being it hauls on anything, that's relatively flat, and it's also very easy and to maneuver and it's very nimble

7 seconds, that's decent! It would have been a lot faster if i didn't have to engage the pedals first. With that being said, eventon does offer the standard throttle where that test would probably be a little faster than what we received here. Last but not least, with the bike completely off, i got 15.3 seconds, which is respectable, considering the bike is 62 pounds because of this, it is gon na be a little bit hard to push, but because of the fast rolling tires, an eight-speed drivetrain

 Bikers we are to the infamous hill, the one. That'S a half a mile with an average grade of 12 overall. This is the steepest hill. We'Re able to find in town to test out how these e-bikes are capable of climbing, with throttle only and maximum pedal assist

 I think that this suspension fork here really makes the bike come alive reason being, is it really just absorbs a lot of that chatter that bucks you offline and fatigues you faster when you combine the plush suspension fork with the mentioned 680 millimeter handlebar, you have a Very confident front end on this bike, where you can absorb bumps with your body, and the bike can too thanks to its fork. This fork also comes with a lockout for those who do want to ride fully rigid, perhaps for more efficiency, but because i have that pedal assist, i left it fully open for the squish all the time. Your rubber here, you have 27.5 by 2

 This frame feels just as strong as its crossbar brother and i think, eventon's doing a really good job. Finding that median of good looks and good performance, there are a few things in the way of comfort and handling that i want to discuss with you guys on this bike. You may have noticed there is a 75 mil suspension fork on this bike. I'Ve left this out to talk about now

 I'Ve had a good experience with this bike so far. So, let's get into the nitty-gritty of what it's all about: [, Music, ], so the event and level is powered by a 500 watt geared hub motor with a 750 watt peak. I found this motor to be pretty torquey and it gets me up to my top speed pretty easily, where i don't have to work hard. That'S something i very much value in a commuter bike

 Having those eight speeds really plays a factor with you not having to work too hard. I started going up the hill in the hardest gear and i probably shifted four or five times by the time i was at the top just to keep that consistent, cadence going. So. Basically, i see this eight speed drive drivetrain keeping riders fresher and giving them a lot wider gear range for, if you're, on a flat ground, keeping the bike up to speed or crawling up a hill without getting sweaty

 I get to work with half a battery using mostly PAS 3-5 on my commute. I do carry a spare battery with me in a pannier bag but I find just charging at work is easier and I can keep the spare in case of emergency.

My commute is about a 25 mile drive, through thick traffic. On good days the drive is about 40 min, on bad days an hour and 15 min. 

I drive a full size truck. The drive is not cheap, fun, or good for the planet.

I don’t want the hassle of a small car, and I’m too scared to ride a motorcycle (was in an accident on a scooter once, drivers don’t see you.) 

I’ve just realized that there is a river trail that’s a pretty direct route to work. The route is 21 mi each way. No way I could ride a regular bike that far, but started wondering about an ebike. I rented one once in Europe and all I remember is going fast with almost no effort.

My questions are:

1. can a person of average fitness handle the distance (21mi each way) fairly easily? I’m not overweight or sedentary, but don’t have particularly strong legs or cardio fitness.

2. E- Bikes say they can assist up to 20 mph. Is this a speed that is easy to maintain? If so, I can make the ride in a reasonable time (&lt;1.5hrs each way). Otherwise, I’m not trying to be on a bike 4+ hours per day at 10mph. The trail I’m looking at has a 15mph speed limit but I’m guessing I can fudge that without too much trouble. I also know there will be some bike traffic on it during rush hour. But the bike path is only about 2/3 of the ride anyway…

3. Range: I was looking at the juiced crosscurrentx. It advertises 60-80 mile range, which seems to be verified in YouTube reviews. But if I’m booking it like full power 20+mph the whole way, am I going to drain this thing pretty fast? I can detach and charge the battery at work, probably…

4. I’ve read that batteries last 2-5 years. That seems awfully short, considering batteries for juiced cost almost 800 dollars. Considering I will likely only bike during the warmer months, it’s probably a wash financially vs the gas 800 dollars would buy. Not to mention the price of the bike…Thoughts?

Need Advice- should I commute on an ebike?

I just got the RadRover 6 Plus this weekend and love it so far. It performed really well on some little dirt trails near my house (the 4" tires are awesome), but the main warning I would offer is that it is REALLY heavy at 74 lbs. I'm going to try to take it on actual mountain biking trails soon, but don't expect to get any air (not that I probably would anyway). Sounds like it could be a good fit for you if you are okay with the weight

Basically, im looking into bikes that have that authentic bike feel, like not the sensor but the look and design of it look like an actual bike. 

Some examples are the Aventon Pace 500, however they haven’t replied to any emails and their customer service isn’t the most amazing. 

I’d love to have a bike that

-Pedal Assist preferably having max 28 mph with 20 on throttle

-Preferably suspensions if possible

I’ve looked at the Rideal but how much will the speed hurt? I’ve seen people wanting an upgrade.

Seeking Help Choosing the Perfect Ebike

 They are around one to two miles per hour. However, the jump from two to three was pretty monumental. I jumped up around three miles per hour on average speed levels three, four, and five, however were all very similar. So what we kind of saw was a big jump from two to three and then it kind of even out get a little flatter on the curve

 and wow, we are actually moving pretty good through the steeper part of the hill here, still using that 750 watts of power, but when I'm behind it as well, we are holding a lot higher average speed than we were prior. So it feels like the Red Rover doesn't really allow itself to get to the point where it's going to hurt itself, burn out the battery, maybe overheat the motor. And I think that's one of the reasons it's good to be set up as class 2.

 I only had to shift once when I was pedaling, but that allowed me to maintain a good cadence and make sure I didn't put too much stress on the motor. Between the seven gears hooked up to the 42 tooth chainring and the 750 watt motor, you should be able to hold good speed up hills and on straightaways. There is a very good gear range for whether it's down, flat or up. so overall, the packaging for hill climbs it's good

47 miles with an average speed of 18.3 miles per hour. While I was pretty impressed with my distance, I was more impressed with the average speed. The top speed is 20 miles per hour and my average speed
