We like the idea of the Aventon Aventure Step-Through for riders that don't want to limit themselves to paved surfaces. One of the most significant downsides of the Aventure is the weight. At 73 pounds, it is simply a big, bulky bike that isn't very easy to transport. It is a little too heavy for most bike racks, and it can be a challenge to load into the back of a truck or move up a flight of stairs. While the 4-inch wide knobby tires are great for tackling a wider range of surfaces, we found that they feel a bit draggy on the pavement and make the handling feel a little more sluggish as a result. While the Aventure is indeed an excellent bike, it is not without fault. Also, the 4-inch wide tires expand its terrain and surface versatility, but they create a fair bit of noise, drag, and a grabby feel when riding on pavement. That said, if you're looking for a powerful electric fat tire bike for all of your adventures, we think the Aventon Aventure is one of the best there is.

It's not a torque

 And in terms of shifting the big ring, I might have had a big ring shift once or twice during this whole hour long ride. So, the beautiful thing about the e-bike motion X35 motor is that it's a pedal assist. You still are pedaling the bike to make it go forward. But the hub is kicking in some watts for you

 So, while I'm tweaking my gears, I'm tweaking the pedal assist to kind of get that sweet spot. So, I can travel along 20 miles an hour at a 130 beats per minute heart rate. So, that's how I'm tuning the motor. I'm tuning the motor to my heart rate

 Well, because of the motor, the pedal assist, you're able to tumble the cranks over the top easier. And so, what ends up happening is you're shifting less.  This one is the 3 model, so it's the 105 cheaper model, 3.5 grand, about 15kg. It's got the 105 R1720 canipers and levers, 105 discs on there, cheap set of fulcrums just to get you going with Vittoria tyres, Rubinio Pro, so nice set of tyres on there. Moving down, they're a bit cleaner, this is an e-bike, the down tube's a little bit wider than a standard bike

Cannondale SuperSix EVO Neo • Why Every Serious Cyclist ...

 So next time we chat, I'll hopefully be in the coffee shop. So, we made it to the coffee shop in one piece and the battery is pretty much dead. We did about a 60k ride in the end and although the charge is supposed to go for 75k, to be fair, we've done about 13 to 1400m of climbing and half of that, if not just over half of that, have been in the highest amount of power, the boost mode, the red flashy light mode. So, to be fair, I'm pretty impressed with that

 And I just feel like, yeah, I just needed some coffee and some cake and I'm good to go again. Oh, that's the end of the selfie stick. Oops.

Cannondale say that the SuperSix Evo Neo will go roughly 75km on one charge. As with any e-bike, this will depend on a lot of factors, including how much you weigh, how much climbing you do, what mode you use, and so on. I've always wanted to recce the Seven Hills of Bath loop, so this was the perfect opportunity to see how much climbing the Evo Neo could really get into one charge. What do you think of our trip?

1 e-bike QOM earned, plus 9th overall rider too (being light helps on an e-bike!).
