How to choose one suitable e-bike

Go to Mr Cs bike shop in Brooklyn and get an Aventon Level. Great front suspension great commuter bike. 15 to 1600.00 Won't break the bank and getting a great quality name brand component bike

2. High quality front suspension 
3. Generally high quality parts 

Don’t want to pay for Bosch motor/ big brand names. 

What else would you recommend? 

I didn’t mention price because I am really more focused on getting the right bike. But fine to stretch it up to $4k. I know I could get a lot of Bosch mid drive bikes for that money. But I feel given most of my driving is on flats, I don’t really need mid drive. And enjoy the cruiser type feel of a hub drive.

High quality bike for NYC with front suspension

 Aventon has been a good bike producer and good customer support. I think you made a good choice.

I am trying to get back into shape after putting on some pounds because of life troubles like cancer (yes I gained weight during cancer LOL (remission 10+ years). And then of course a heart surgery that the chemo caused.  Anyway I'm back in good health, technically but I still have lots of fat to lose.  Yes Diet is #1 but I want a reason to take my bike out and go explore. I have some great paths that I've used tin the past just by using a $400 hybrid bike that did it's job but I got tired of lugging it around everywhere, like folding it up, taking the wheel off, scratching my Crosstrek hatch etc.  Well now I've been doing research and I see Ebikes.  SHIT they look cool lemme check how mu--fuck.  I'm looking at ones like 5 grand.  WHAT.  Anyway I eventually keep checking sites and get to Aventon Ebikes.  The cheapest one they have is the Pace 350 Step through.  A little over a grand? Not bad.  $50 coupon, free shipping, free light package.  I watch a ton of video and read reviews and pull the trigger. I want to know have I made a mistake? I'm sort of a newcomer/intermediate in regular biking and a newcomer in ebikes.  What kind of roads can I take this on? Would any basic trails be okay or would I need to swap tires?  Thanks for the help!
