 The only small issue I had, which seems to have gone away by this point, is that the piston would make a small squeaking sound when it went up from sitting to a standing position. Other than that all is well now in the movement is extremely silent and smooth setting up the smart desk only took a drill and some willpower, and I got down in around 2 hours. If you like, the setup I have in the video, which is a walnut table top and black Business Edition legs, it'll run you about 449. That may seem like a lot, but it compared to other standing desks of the same or less quality

Great Frame Wish It Included The Table Top For The Price..

 I really should have bought the one with the tabletop rather than leave it to my own devices. I have seen elsewhere the quality of the AI desktops, and they are pretty great. With my own tabletop, I had to measure and drill pilot holes and other places for the frame to go in. For the four additional hours I had to spend finding a good tabletop (not that easy to get the right size and weight distribution), drill the pilot holes correctly (not easy for someone as bad as I am with home projects), and then attempt to assemble

  After assembly with the dampeners, I thought the engine was pretty loud, and this is even compared with my older model Evodesk, but I also closer to the motor than my Evodesk. We will see how this motor runs, but the warranty on this Evodesk is quite long, and the motor looks replaceable in case of full mechanical or electronic failure. I recommend this for a straight desk with the hesitation that you probably want to buy the included tabletop rather than bring your own in most cases.

 This desk is one of Autonomous's newer lines, and having had an Evodesk for a long time, I wanted this for my bedroom as a worktable.  I have to confess that I have a little bit of buyer's remorse with this in terms of not getting an included tabletop. I really should have bought the one with the tabletop rather than leave it to my own devices. I have seen elsewhere the quality of the AI desktops, and they are pretty great

But the middle table leg is something that really does annoy people, but it's pretty much gotta be there. I'm telling you guys, if I removed that middle table leg, this whole desk would probably begin to like cave in

 And it would just slowly like warp until it would probably eventually break in half. This middle leg keeps everything sturdy, keeps everything you know healthy and all with the desk. I'm telling you guys, if this middle leg wasn't here, this desk would snap probably within a couple months of use, maybe within a couple weeks. It wouldn't last very long, especially once you start adding a couple of monitors to the desk, a pretty heavy PC

 There's a reason why these desks are super cheap though, and that's because they're not really built out of the fanciest, almost sturdy materials out there. The materials the IKEA Linmon desks are made out of is pretty much just like a tiny, tiny thin bit of wood on the edges of the desk, and if you'd cut the whole thing open, you would reveal like a honeycomb cardboard pattern throughout the entire like actual inside of the desk. It's something that I should have done a long, long time ago. Only like £15 for the whole desk, man

 And along all the edges here, there's literally, surprisingly enough, pretty much not a single dent apart from maybe like right there. There's a tiny little dent, but this desk itself has really maintained really good condition over the last year or so that I've used it. In fact, over the last one or two years of ownership, this desk has held up extremely well. Hardly any scratches, hardly any dents, even along the edges here, everything's fine man, the desk is just in good condition after one year

IKEA LINNMON in 2020 - Still worth it?

 Today's topic of discussion is IKEA Linmon.

 I've got a brand new desk that I bought on Amazon, well not on Amazon, I bought it on IKEA.

 Because finally their delivery fees, I think might have finally dropped in the UK.

 It no longer costs like £35 for desk delivery, because that's a bit insane.

 This cost me about I think £25 in total for this desk.

 This whole desk dude with delivery, delivery was like £10.

 And we ended up paying around like £15 for the whole desk with the legs and everything.

 I've been using almost nothing but IKEA Linmon desks for my gaming setups over the past probably like 5 or 6 years.

 Ever since I pretty much built my first gaming setup, it happened to be IKEA Linmon.

 I've had little to no issues using the desks, I've tried my best to take care of them.

 They do dent really easily, that's like the main takeaway I suppose.

 But if you buy the black IKEA Linmon desk, if you get any kind of chips or dents inside of the desk,

 it's really easy to like cover them up, just get like a black sharpie.

 And I kid you not, that's what I was doing with my IKEA Linmon desk back when I had the black version of the 2 meter one.

 They're available in so many different sizes, 100x60, 120x60, 150x75 and finally 200x60 cm.

 That's the desk I have behind me right there.
