 Another thing another thing Mike has you have a vm95 ml? No. So here's what I recommend if you're having people over having a party get this one because you'll have a new head shell you can pop your old one off put your new one on when you want to use it and then when you're having people over or the kids are around you put the other cartridge back on so they don't break your expensive one. The 95 ml is wonderful talked about it earlier. Now the thing that actually turns this turntable and makes it even better it fixes one of the things that I didn't like about it

 All right so we're going to start underneath the platter to let you guys know this is a direct drive motor and it's a new one. The last direct drive motor had one kilogram of torque. This has 1.6 so it's even more powerful than the previous model and I love direct drive turntables

 Uh so this one they kept to the roots they kept it square it looks wonderful. Other thing I really like is the way they do this 45 adapter. Now I don't really use 45 so and I haven't I haven't used it but it just looks really cool the weight behind it. It is pretty heavy um just a nice touch to make this turntable feel a little more upscale because it really is I mean it kind of takes into the next price point uh over $500 for this table and hey they did a great job designing it so it looks uh and feels like more of an upscale table

 Now I don't really use 45 so and I haven't I haven't used it but it just looks really cool the weight behind it. BEST TURNTABLE under $500! Audio Technica AT-LP5X Vinyl Record Player Review

 Now of all the turntables we get in at the store, some of them stick out more than others and this

 video is on just that. Now I've waited two years for this table to come back in stock and actually

 it even has some improvements over the previous model and we're going to get into this one because

 this is one of my all-time favorite turntables. It is the AT-LP5X from Audio-Technica. Stay tuned.

 Now before we dive into the AT-LP5X, there's still a lot of you guys out there that aren't subscribed.

 You're missing out on all kind of Hi-Fi content so hey hit the subscribe button, like the video,

 something we say whether you have an opinion on this table or any other turntable. Guys

 light up the comments. We want you to be heard. It's legit been two years. I thought this was

 not coming back but it finally did and I am so pumped to tell you guys about the brand new

 Audio-Technica AT-LP5. You know we have a lot of turntables and few stand out as an all-time

 favorite of mine and the predecessor to this, the LP5, was just that. I totally thought it was

 replaced by the PB but it wasn't because it's back and now I'm going to tell you guys all about it

 so let's get right into it because there's a lot of things that have changed for the better since

 last time and a few that have not. All right so we're going to start underneath the platter

 to let you guys know this is a direct drive motor and it's a new one. The last direct drive motor

 had one kilogram of torque. This has 1.6 so it's even more powerful than the previous model and I

 love direct drive turntables. All right now let's put that back on because I want to show you the

 brand new turntable platter mat that comes with it. This is updated from the previous model. It's

 a little bit more grippier so it'll keep that vinyl in place which is what you want. It does

 come with a nice heavy duty silver turntable 45 adapter and talking about speeds that's

 where our next upgrade comes from because it not only does 33 45 but now for whatever reason

 because you probably won't use it it does 78 so it has that additional speed in the motor which

 is really cool because a lot of tables don't do 78 and I know it doesn't get used a lot but now

 this one has that feature which is so cool. So the previous cartridge on it was the AT95EX

 and now it has that ATVM95E which will be interchangeable with a multitude of styluses

 from Audio-Technica. The one I would highly recommend is the ATVM95ML. It will increase the

 sound in a positive way of your vinyl by mass amounts. I mean it is a great stylus and all you

 have to do is pop it on and off. So it went from being 23 pounds which was beefy down to 16 which

 is actually still a pretty heavy turntable so it is going to have weight to it. It's not going to

 be super light and that weight is going to help isolate your turntable so you don't have to buy

 additional feet if you do not want to. It holds up pretty good to movement and we can look at those

 feet and we'll actually flip the table around now so I can show you underneath. Okay so looking

 underneath it has nice isolation feet they wobble really well that's going to really help your sound

 without giving any unwanted vibration and yeah it's made of like it's still made of like a plastic

 but it's nice I mean it really really looks nice it's a great looking table even better with the

 platter on of course. Now I'm going to get to what they changed as far as the outputs okay so there

 are some major changes to this turntable that you're gonna want to know about. So one thing

 they did is they improved the output on the phono preamp from 3.5 millivolts to 4 millivolts

 and that's not all. They actually upgraded it and added an additional phono preamp in here for moving

 coil cartridges that was not on the previous model. They actually have it on the LP7 which is a lot

 more money. Hey now it's on the 5 it makes it even better you can get into moving coil cartridges

 with this turntable. Now if you're not using the internal phono preamp they actually increased

 the output on the line level as well. They went from 150 millivolts to 250 so a big increase in

 output using the line level out. So now why do I love this table so much? First off it is one of

 the best looking tables that like I've seen in a while just like the LP5 ones. I mean I'm partial

 to silver and black but hey it looks perfect. I just love that it has a curved tone arm big fan

 of that. The only thing that I would ask more of because like I love the direct drive motor I love

 everything about this table is I would love an auto pickup. The auto pickup is the one thing that

 is missing from this table. And another thing if you do happen to have a glass table surface the

 feet on all of Audio Technic's turntables actually kind of act like suction cups. We have a mat on
